In this exclusive interview with Yahoo! Movies UK. Director Zack Snyder was questioned on how he'd approach a modern-day Lex Luthor and his answer?

Well...it may just surprise you!

But to save you the trouble of following the link here's a transcript of what he said-

"I don't know. I think you'd just have to imagine like a combination of, you know, Richard Branson and Brad Pitt I guess" Snyder told Yahoo! Movies UK. "Mixed together!"

"They had a child, through science!" he laughed.

While this may just be Snyder trying to be funny, in the video he seemed to be in a fairly deep and serious thought on how he'd approach Lex Luthor...with HAIR.

So what do you think CBMers? Would you like to see Lex Luthor sporting some locks? I certainly wouldn't mind!

I was thinking more of an evil Bill Gates kind of Luthor

here's a suggestion... make him a secondary character in a sequel and use a previously unseen (yet known to comic book fandom) villain that is interesting (not that Shannon's Zod wasn't), compelling and DIFFERENT than what we've seen for the past 30yrs on film!

Introduce Lex but don't use him as the villain. We know he's a bad guy. Make him like the animated series but have Brainiac and no Lex/Brainiac bullshit.

Seriously just adopt Johns Brainiac. Introduce Lex, also introduce Supergirl, have Brainiac. You [frick]ing got it Goyer?

if Smallville can get it right, MoS2 can get it right. MR's Lex Luthor was THE best adaptation of Lex so I'm hoping for an even better one in the sequel.

I really liked Rosembaum as Lex. The only main actor i thought did a good job in the show

I think the dude that played Lex in Smallville was not only the best thing about that show but I'm probably going to get some hate about this but he was the best live adaptation of Lex to date. Dude was sick as lex and his it spot on! If you haven't seen him do his thing then you wouldn understand what I'm saying.

From a story standpoint, With what happened in Metropolis and all, I think Lex is the most logical choice to go with the destruction that was caused and he would question do we really need an alien to protect this world.

Logical choice=Lex
Bigger villain=Brainiac

Bruce Willis for Lex Luthor! Agree with making him a secondary villain... The "Miranda Tate" of Man of Steel 2 with either Brainiac, Metallo (seeing this is VERY militaristic heavy I can easily see him being adapted) or hell all three. Lex is a government hired contractor who uses the kryptonian battle armor left behind by Zod, as a prototype gor hos "military exo-skeleton suits" and John Corben is testing one or something and becomes Metallo (or is merged due to Brainiac?) Metallo fights Suerman a few times and Brainiac is the final "boss" Suerman fighrs? Endind shows Luthor is running for president (release this film in 2016 and itd be perfect fitting seeing as that's when Obamas second term runs out)

The story calls for lex, clearly. Metallo can be involved as well, but make him a real character, not like the destroyer.

Bruce Willis?! Yeah, he's believable as an evil genius. And Vin Diesel can play Brainiac. I'm rolling my eyes so hard it hurts.

Lex should be introduced in the sequel and have him go bald from some accident and then in the third one have him as the villain using Kryptonian tech to restore a genetic atrocity (Doomsday) Meanwhile Kara Zor El awakes on earth and meets her cousin Kal

i say bring in a bald leonardo dicaprio, he could pull off the billionaire industrialist lex luthor who might have an alterior motive or plot from the shadows. we know from django that he can play a compelling villain. he might bring something new to the table for the character

i would actually be intrigued by matt damon as lex too, he's got good range as an actor and looks the part with his new bald style for elysium

I think Luthor should also be a around the same age as Clark or slightly older.

And Luthor needs to be bald.

Lex Luthor MUST be bald..just like Superman MUST have a cape.
It annoys me that Charles Xavier has hair in X-Men 1st Class but he's a younger man,he needs to lose the locks if series continues.

Bald Brad Pitt. He's got the range, and the eccentricity that Lex Luthor never really had, but should've. Have you ever seen a crazy billionaire that wasn't eccentric? Write him as the most narcissistic, cooky evil genius ever. He should actually have the audience laughing one moment, and then disgusted by the end of the scene. When we watch the movie, we need to be conflicted between his likability and his sick nature. Kinda like RDJ's Tony Stark when out in public, but Heath Ledger's Joker behind the scenes.
