On January 25 (this Sunday), the turtles will return to New York and take down the Krang. What obstacles will get in their way? Shredder? Foot Clan? The turtles know their task wont be easy but they not only have to succeed for the people of New York, but for their teacher, Master Splinter as well. Check out the promo below!

Ninjutsu master Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) is carrying his four pet turtles through the streets of Manhattan, New York City when he encounters members of an alien race called the Kraang. During an altercation with these aliens, Hamato and the turtles are exposed to an alien chemical called mutagen (which is said to have unpredictable results) and they undergo major physical transformations. Hamato Yoshi becomes a humanoid rat and the turtles become anthropomorphic. Splinter retreats to the New York City sewers, where he raises the four turtles as his sons and imparts to them his knowledge of ninjutsu.

I actually think this series is doing a pretty good job of carrying on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand, better than last year's movie by leaps and bounds. Sure its not as good as the 80s series but at least its giving kids something to watch other than the usual dreck on TV.
