When talking to
Collider a few days ago Jonathan Liebesman hinted that the Turtles wold be created using the blend of CGI and motion capture technology that was used so well in
Rise of the Planet of the Apes. My God that is a long title for a film. Anyways this time, Jonathan has spoken with .
Is it going to be CGI for the turtles or a mix?
Liebesman: Well, I was blown away by the CGI in The Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
I was too. It was in the eyes; that’s what did it for me. The eyes looked so realistic.
Liebesman: It’s funny, I was just talking to Michael about the eyes. We discussed it for like three hours yesterday, just talking about the eyes. So yeah, it’s going to be like that.
In the interview Jonathan declares his love of Krang. He was created for the popular 80's animated series. Krang was banished from DimensionX and stripped of his body, left with a pinkish brain-like form. The look is actually inspired by the alien race, Utroms, but he is not a Utrom.
Without a body, he decides to team-up with Shredder and help him defeat those pesky Turtles. In exchange for his help he requires that Shredder build him a body, which Shredder does.
Who’s you’re favorite Ninja Turtle and who’s your favorite Ninja Turtle villain?
Liebesman: I love Raphael. I think he’s a lot like me, I feel the same way, he’s a very cynical guy and he wonders why they’re still relevant today. He’s kind of like the Daniel Craig of the Turtles. And then I think Shredder is awesome, Krang’s great, but I like the Obi-won/ Anakin-thing going on between Shredder and Splinter.
