JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Ezra Miller Wants Jeffrey Dean Morgan As Batman In FLASHPOINT

Rumour has it that the fate of Flashpoint hinges on the success of Justice League. Now, Ezra Miller has weighed in with what he hopes to see from the Scarlet Speedster's solo adventure (assuming it actually happens) and it probably won't surprise you to learn that the actor is also keen on the idea of The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan showing up as Batman in the highly anticipated movie.

"I think that the emotional arc of the Thomas Wayne stuff in Flashpoint is one of the illest [parts]. And to see that different manifestation of Batman and his whole different style," Miller revealed. "And I love the reality that you have this universe that is so inverted from the one that we know. And this one factor remains the same, but in this flipped way. Batman is steady, but it's going to be the result of a different side of the same tragedy with Thomas Wayne instead of Bruce, and that's dope."

Morgan made only a very brief appearance as Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but like comic book fans, the Justice League star is keen on seeing him don the cape and cowl.

"Oh, hell yeah. I think he's amazing," said Miller. "And I think he would fall right into what is becoming a very, very serious ensemble of actors. I'm so excited about Kiersey Clemons. I'm so excited about Billy Crudup. I just couldn't be more stoked about the names involved so far."

Do you think Flashpoint will happen? If so, do you expect Morgan to show up as the Dark Knight?

@Ha1frican - Though I love the idea of Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing a gun-weilding Batman, why on earth are they talking about Flashpoint so soon?

Flashpoint should be used a means to reboot their world. Given that we're only talking about having one JL movie and a few solo films so farn why is this even on their radar?

Unless they are already planning a reboot this film will be pointless. It might show a glimpse of an alternate reality, but by the end I would have to think the DCCU would go back to normal, which would kind of defeat the whole purpose. Because surely WB can't be thinking of rebooting so soon....

@Ha1frican - It just doesn't seem like him, playing a psychopathic character.

Regardless of how awesome it would be, I feel the general public would be puzzled to the point of scrutinizing the film at Flash-level speeds (as if that wouldn't happen anyway to a DCEU film.)

@MosquitoFarmer - Everyone throws out the general public line like they havent already accepted a talking raccoon, tree monster, god of thunder, and 90 year old frisbee throwing war bond salesman as popular characters. Give people more credit

@Ha1frican - I give people credit. But when I like BvS and most everyone else says it's one of the worst movies they've ever seen, well... I'm turning into that film's skeptical Batman.

@MosquitoFarmer - Im the same way, with the exception of Lex and some of the Batman killing (just the batmobile and batwing stuff with the machine guns)I love BvS. After repeat viewings I vastly prefer it to Wonder Woman which is I loved the first time but really doesnt hold up its pretty generic

@Ha1frican - I don't strictly mind some of those aspects as the film is an interpretation, but I don't in any way fault anyone for disliking those parts of it. I'd rather everyone enjoy the film, but there's no accounting for taste. Either way, it's no surprise Warner Brothers is fighting an uphill battle with a momentary victory ala Wonder Woman. All the same, I have no doubt the Thomas Wayne arc couldn't be pulled off, and I'd love to see Morgan in that suit. I'm just weary of critics (both professional and just most of the rest of us folk.

@MosquitoFarmer - I think the issue honestly lies more with the characters in general rtaher than the way they are presented. Superman and Batman are so beyond their own mythos at this point that everyone ha stheir own very specific take on those characters that the moment you really establish them in any way (whether dark and gritty, or bright and hopeful) the there is always going to be a huge group who react badly to that. TBH the best way to do those characters for continued success is probably to make them as generic as possible, which sucks imo

@Ha1frican - You're absolutely right. And yet oddly enough, Spider-Man: Homecoming, while doing well, didn't perform as well as they hoped. Granted, we've had three iterations of Spidey in a closer time frame than the past three Batmans, but it's a vaguely damned if you do, damned if you don't type of scenario.

@MosquitoFarmer - I think Spider-man was more the result of a packed year and a lot of theater fatigue tbh I was gong every weekend for like 5 weeks straight at one point bc there was so much out and even as a film junkie I had trouble keeping up this year

@Ha1frican - It's been tedious; comic book films or not. But I can't help but feel the close proximity of Spidey films affected it's box office draw, even despite his incredibly successful Civil War appearance.

@Krav - Mostly in the Nightmare scene he use one for his own , plus during the warehouse one he use somebody else gun to shoot some mfs too...

Not like the guy use fireguns as a weapon , but dude is not afraid to use them if he needs too.
