Over the summer, it was revealed that Michael Keaton was in talks to reprise the role of Batman in The Flash, and concept art unveiled at DC FanDome showed his Caped Crusader fighting alongside the Fastest Man Alive. While that appeared to feature the 1989 version of the Dark Knight, it's been claimed that Keaton will become the DC Extended Universe's new Batman and a mentor to younger heroes.
Time will tell on that front, but during last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live, the actor was asked whether we can expect to see him in The Flash when the movie is released in 2022.
"I can't confirm anything," Keaton started, later adding that he is in talks to join the DCEU. "So, we're having discussions as they say," he continued. "We're talking about it. We'll see if that happens."
Keaton joked that "all 127" previous "Batmen" will be part of the DC Comics movie before declaring that he is, of course, the best Dark Knight to date.
It's a fun interview, and worth checking out. The signs are all pointing to the actor being part of The Flash, while reliable sources have also indicated that Ben Affleck will be returning as his version of Batman in the movie.
Do you think Keaton's Caped Crusader is the best big screen Batman?
