Chris Hemsworth Talks Thor Trailer And The Avengers!

The actor shares his thoughts on the teaser trailer, discusses the costume and honor of playing Thor and reveals whether or not he's been allowed to take a look at the script for The Avengers...

"It was surprising," Hemsworth told PopcornBiz when asked about his reaction to seeing the recently released trailer. "I've seen about as much footage as most people, which was very minimal, and that was hugely exciting. Just, like, ‘Give me more, please!’"

"I finished the film six months ago, which means there's this lead up of sort of what's to come and now it's all starting to heat up," he added. "And obviously important to me and it's exciting and it's a mixture of things going through my head!"

The actor was then asked about wearing the impressive looking costume and how he now feels about playing the iconic character as the release date draws closer: "The costume was incredible. When you put that thing on and it's just sells such a great image. Working with the people I got to work with, and the amazing sets – Thor was just an incredible character that's been around for a long time, and it was an honor just to be asked to come and portray him for the film."

"I haven't seen anything," he reiterated when quizzed about The Avengers and how work on that movie is progressing. "There have been secret meetings with director Joss Whedon and those guys but no official script yet."

@Intruder Yeah, but this is Kenneth Branaugh directing, man. He is a great actor and director. I think that Thor will probably surpass expectations. I for one think that this movie could be The Dark Knight for the Marvel Universe.

The Thor movie is looking so sweet, it's hard not to have huge expecations.

Also IMO the Cap movie is looking great too.

That's a hell of a lot of build up, and after Thor comes out that is probably going to increase exponentially.

I truly believe this movie will become my new favourite CBM of all time. Everything about this is breath taking!

@Star - Evans looks like bullets would bounce off him! But it looks like planets would bounce off Hemsworth! And that is the perfect image for both Cap and Thor!

@ SuspenseSmith: Why is that wierd to think? Thor has always been cool. He just got short changed by writers in the past, but he has always been a major, major player.

It's impossible to have a "whose strongest" or a "whose the most powerful" conversation without mentioning Thor. That means a lot.

God a lot of people on here are jumping ahead of themselves. Lets remember this film hasn't come out yet. However I am also finding it hard not to get excited about this film. Chris Hemsworth looks like he could play a game of snooker with the universe. The casting is fantastic. Also the trailer just looks so impressive. Anyway, better not jump ahead of ourselves. :D

Couple of things:

1. Has anyone seen a Kenneth Branaugh film? Henry the V, Much Ado About Nothing? I have faith that Thor's going to rock, but just curious. I saw Henry the V recently and IMO it wasn't very good.

2. Does anyone WANT Green Lantern to suck? I'm a Marvel guy, but I want to see kick ass DC films. GL, WW, Supes, all of them. Even though Marvel's my #1 choice, I still want great movies from DC. So...does anyone want to see DC (or Marvel) fail just because they're in the other camp?

I'm sorry, I just have to stay close-minded and one-sided in regards to GL, I can't look at it with a good conscience. It's going to have to blow me out of the water for me to be happy because.......

WE COULD HAVE HAD A KICK-ASS DEADPOOL MOVIE INSTEAD!!!!!!!!!!!

x-men first class will do a bit better

green lantern is doomed due to its CRAPTASTIC special effects.

lmao,i agree.

wouldn't it be funny if the "green hornet" grossed more than the "green lantern" due to the non comic cinema going public getting the titles mixed up.

you know thinking they're going to see the "green lantern" but end up watching the "green hornet".

"There have been secret meetings with director Joss Whedon and those guys but no official script yet."

Maybe he means they're still revising it. A Script should be made by now, which I believe it has. Maybe they're just making minor changes to it with Joss and his preference.

@deadpool72 dude that would totally suck! i mean, im not all that jazzed about G Lantern yet, but if i went to see it and it ended up being G Hornet instead... damn! that would totally suck!!!
