Filming for Marvel's Thor, began early this year, January 11th. Beginning on an Los Angeles sound-stage, to the hilltop outdoors in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
And 99 days later, today, a tweet from the supposed mother of the film's supporting actress, Jaimie Alexander, states that filming is wrapping up.
Though it's confirmed that Alexander's mother's name is the same as the tweeter's profile, this lady could be anyone. So what may confirm this is a different filming location announced back in February. The Del Mar City Council announced:
Paramount Pictures will enter into negotiations with Del Mar to film a beach scene for its new movie "Thor," set for release in 2011. Paramount wants to use a 300-yard stretch of Del Mar beach for a scene involving six horses running down the terrain.
The city foresees a "very positive" economic impact from the production, but has no basis for negotiating with major motion picture studios. It will work with Paramount to come up with a deal for filming, scheduled preliminarily for April 29.
So with filming on the Del Mar Beach set "Preliminarily" on April 29th, I'd imagine the crew would be wrapping up in Santa Fe NM, possibly concluding filming overall with the beach scene.
