HTF: So outside of what you know and can’t say, what would you like to see happen, what kind of continuation for your character and Thor at the movies would you like to see?

Jaimie Alexander: Well, what I would like to see, and I honestly, I don’t really know the storyline of the sequel or anything or everybody’s participation in it. We still don’t know, but I would love to see things progress between Thor and Sif. I think that’s the natural thing for me to want to see. But I’d also love to see Beta Ray Bill. If, if they were gonna do that, that would be awesome, and I’d love to see,, you know, I’d love for the audience to be able to get to know Sif a little bit better, just from my point of view, you know, and maybe a little bit of history between the queen and Sif, or the king and Sif, and a little bit of back story there about how they grew up and that kind of stuff. So, we’ll see though. I mean, Marvel’s, Marvel’s got their own agenda there and they always execute it perfectly, so.

Who is Beta Ray Bill?
Beta Ray Bill is one of the best characters in the Thor comics. At first introduction most viewers only saw him as a yellow horse-faced monster, a future villain for sure. That assumption was wrong.

Beta is part of an alien race called the Korbinites, and the most important part of the his story is that he is one of the few creatures that is able to pickup Thor's hammer, Mjolnir (Meow Meow). The hammer carries upon it Odin's enhancement which reads, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."

So it was quite a surprise to the readers that this monstrous creature was worthy of Thor's hammer. It was a nice twist. Thor wasn't too keen on Beta Ray Bill at first, and a great rivalry between the two ensued. After the battle between the two, Odin stepped in and granted Beta Ray Bill his own hammer, called Stormbreaker. As for Thor and Beta? They became friends, forming one of the most powerful alliances.
