If reports are to be believed, the climax of the film is the first thing to be filmed. So Chris is probably doing some big action work as we speak!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who doubted whether this day would ever come. I mean, we're always hearing that they're making all these movies, they say they have a script being written, they say they have a director even, and then things just never happen.
With Thor, this was certainly the case, and when Matthew Vaughn dropped out, I just thought "Here we go again. Another director drops out of another would-be project. I'm sure they'll dilly dally with it for a long time more, assuring us it will happen, until they give up.
When Branagh signed on, I felt serious doubt as to whether he would actually end up behind a camera. I usually remain skeptical until serious casting is announced, so once we got Thor, and then the supporting cast, I knew we had a real movie on our hands!
Even then, though, it seemed to take forever for them to get going! Is it just me, or do most movies start shooting a lot earlier after initial casting then this movie did?
Oh well, it's happening now, and that's what matters! Let's hope it will be worth the wait!
EDIT: Whoops! Sorry for the confusion. I previously made this page on the 10th, but I then realized shooting didn't start until the next day. My bad! I should have known it wouldn't start on a Sunday, but that's just what I heard! Or thought I heard! Oh well. It's fixed now. Woo hoo! THOR's filming!
