Earlier in the year, James Gunn clarified that Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout is non canon, but even though it's not related to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the ride has a ton of easter eggs.

One noticable easter egg is The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) and The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) showing their sibling rivalry, which hopefully we will see one day in future MCU films. For the time being, we will see The Grandmaster in all his glory on November 3rd in Thor: Ragnarok.

“In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
