THOR: RAGNAROK Star Jeff Goldblum Reveals Plans For Another TEAM THOR Short Starring The Grandmaster

The Team Thor shorts were directed by Taika Waititi and revolved around the hero moving in with a guy called Daryl. Well, Thor: Ragnarok's Jeff Goldblum has confirmed one exists with The Grandmaster...

We got our first taste of what Taika Waititi's take on Thor: Ragnarok would look like with the release of two short movies. Those were hilarious and revolved around what happened when the God of Thunder moved in with a guy called Daryl. Are they canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Probably not but another is in the works and will likely be included on the eventual Blu-ray release of the threequel.

Talking about what might come next for The Grandmaster during a recent interview, Jeff Goldblum revealed that we'll see him return in a short movie where he too winds up moving in with poor Daryl.

"So what happens? Well, I could go anywhere – I might knock on your door, and say hello. Guess who’s here? I shot a thing with Taika, where there’s a roommate in Australia. I show up at his, and I do knock on his door. And I take up residence in the little flat, as they say here. That’s what I do. And order things from the takeaway restaurant. Buy all the local foods." That. Sounds. AWESOME.

It's possible this is going to be released online but with Thor: Ragnarok not in US
theaters yet, we probably have quite some time to wait until this debuts. Either way, it should be a lot of fun, especially if it delivers the same sort of improvised humour which makes the threequel so great. Are you guys excited to see this short movie? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

I hope they put the Thor and Darryl short on the Raganarok blu-ray. I want a physical copy for prosperity's sake. The digital version just isn't good enough. Add this to it, as well, of course.

I'm sure he's not in it, but Darryl being in Ragnarok for even a small scene would be really funny.

I believe Taika is the guy to bring back the one-shots (even if it are one-shots like the team thor one)

So i watched the movie, i'm kinda busy reading comics today, so here's what i thought, i'll try to be spoiler-free as possbile...

First of all: I loooooved this movie! :D
Here's the thing, i'm not gonna claim like i'm the number 1 Thor or Hulk fan but...i really really like these characters and...In my opinion, Marvel Studios never really got right these characters, especially Thor, which sucks, man.

Not only i like Hulk, Thor, but also the entire Norse mythology, and Planet Hulk happens to be one of my favorites Hulk stories and i really like Taika too!
Soooo...lol, this movie already had lots of plus points in my book, although i can be a lil biased (not gonna lie! :P) i always try to be objective about everything.

So yeah, there IS a shit long list of things that i didn't like about Ragnarok, but basically everything "clicked" with me.
I still feel like i'm in the heat of the moment, and i should relax some more but i really feel like this was hands down the best Thor movie yet(DHU!) and for me DEFINETELY the best MCU movie of the year!

I know ppl feel like this is just a Gotg 2.0...It's not.
I mean yeah, it's still a comedy, but it's veeeery different.
Most people love the Guardians, love Gunn, so do i, but since humour is very subjective, well....Let's just say my sense of humour is more close to Taika's than Gunn's.
And you can bet your sweet ass that this movie was hilarious!!
BUT! Just like i predicted, and unlike Gunn, Taika really balanced everything here!
So there's a time to laugh, but there's also a time where shit gets serious...quite emotional too.
But those moment doesn't get spoiled by some shitty joke you know? Maybe right after a couple of seconds? But not in the middle.
There's no shitty Dance off/Pac-Man scene outta nowhere, matter of fact, the ENTIRE third act is pretty serious ffs.

Off aaall the things i was looking forward too, i had Hela at #1.
What can is say...I already wanted to crown her as the best MCU villain ever buuuut that still goes to Loki, i'm sorry.
Best CBM villain of the year tho, i mean there's still JL technically, but eh...
Gotta say though, i'm also very dissapointed.
To my surprise, they actually decided to give more space to the Planet Hulk part of the movie, rather than to Hela and the Ragnarok business.
Don't get me wrong, the movie is already packed, it has an awesome pacing and all, i dunno maybe i'm very greedy, but i really felt like they should've used some more time with her.

I wished they'd have fleshed out Hela they way they did it with Vulture in Homecoming, you know? but even then, he was not able to reach Hela's level for me.
She was very menacing, and also pretty OP, hard to compare with the comics, didn't get to see much, when it comes to the "looks" she's straight outta the comics, but the powers....Another story...
Not a big fan of her relationship with some of the characters, it's different from the comics, but it works in the movie, matter of fact, the whole plot revolves around this point.
Unfortunately, shit like this always feels kinda forced, and her main goal was...also kinda clichè, but again....it makes sense.
Like i said she was really OP, man. Everything was waaaay too easy for her, now i'm not gonna spoil how it ends with her, obviously the good guys win, but...Didn't like the way they defeated her. Too easy.
Something happens, you can call it a deus ex machina, and shit, this is Ragnarok, so you can probably already guess what happens, so it was the right thing to do, but still...
They used flashbacks to hint at her past, with Asgard, Odin, Valkyrie, everything was soo damn interesting, and it felt like they were kinda wasting that potential of that story by telling it that way, they must have used barely 5 minutes. Awesome visuals tho.
Surtur...you can probaby already guess his role, personally i have some mixed feelings...
Fenris is badass, nothing else.
Taika killed it as Korg ahahaha XD
People kept saying how Valkyrie is a show stelear, so that maybe elevated my expectation? I dunno, although i think i'm gonna disagree, really liked her character tho, i mean i would like Sif too if she had the same opportunity to show her...well everything, so this doens't come as a surprise to me.
CG was good for the most part, but it got iffy with Hulk, but the worst part is...yeah the Green screen...like wtf??? I dunno how Taika allowed that to happen? Basically just like in the trailers, no adjustments in the post-production whatsoever...Very strange.

Aww f*ck it, there's way too much stuff i want to say, but this post is getting lengthier and lengthier and i already know you motherbleepers won't waste time reading all this shit! >:(
Besides, you all still have to watch the movie, so for now, i'm gonna stop here. :P
