Thor's Hammer "Mjolnir" Seen On Set!

A short tweet from Iron Man director...

Visited the Thor set. I would look cool in one of those costumes.

A question raised if he saw Thor's hammer here is his reply.

I certainly did. RT

I for one would kill to see Thor's costume (I know I'm not the only one feeling this way)... So, I'm hoping MARVEL releases something for us in a few days or there'll be some mayhem to commence.

Though I do believe Favs when he says that those costumes are cool, Marvel hasn't disappoint us yet.

-ACCESS out. Godspeed and MABUHAY!

well its a good thing that marvel is doing something on their comics unlike dc which they tend to focus on very few characters (meaning they are bringing less characters of their universe to the silver screen unlike marvel).

lol @ Clint: It's in July. But don't sweat what that guy said. Judging by how things have gone thus far, we will find out plenty between now and then. Oh sure there will likely be some kind of display or maybe even a teaser with spoilers at CC, but hardly means that those that don't go won't find out anything or that there won't be any information given before that

Olivier Coipel, Mark Morales and Straczynski made Thor awesome for me, hope the movie will be in the same vein as the current book

Angelo:Marvel will release very little in the way of pictures, costumes, set designs etc...They're going to want to keep this secret for a very long time.

I disagree. Thor isn't like Spider Man (whom almost everyone on the planet is aware of) or Iron Man
(strong tech based character that can pull any tech head into his world).
Thor is a hard sell to the general public, sure comic fans are geeked for it.
I have a feeling thats one of the reasons we have been getting so much news about this movie.
Not only that, but I have a strong feeling that the promotional campaign will pick up considerably to involve major news sources, not just movie sites.
They want to create as much "buzz" about this as possible or it will end up like Watchmen. An awsome movie but not alot of interest outside the comic community.

We will probably get everything but the subtle plot lines for this movie by the time it comes out, with good reason.

Ive been looking on IMBD and it states that Idris Elba is playing Heimdall. Why I ask Heimdall is a Viking God.....

Yet another rubbish comic book version of a film, what reason will they come up with for him being African.

Heimdall is supposed to be the son of Odin

Is it an attempt at political correctness and for what reason.

It's funny to read complaints about the accuracy of the skin color of a mythical being..

@saemus
yeah, like when DBE came out and people we're saying its not right cuz chatwin wasn't japanese. now i havent seen the movie but i have seen every episode of DBZ and from what i can recall, goku isn't asian either. he's a sayin, not even a human, which asian people tend to be sometimes.
just like heimdall - not african - asgardian.
think of it like this: the meaning of 'asgardian' is the same as 'human'. there are african humans, chinese humans, american humans - no one seems to have a problem with this. so why is there a problem if there's 'asian' (Hogun) or 'african' (heimdall)asgardians? from my understanding he's not the son of odin, but if i am worng and he is, in fact, a son of odin then.... what? odin can't bang black chicks?

shortsightedness at it's finest!

Mythical or not Vikings were not African or Chinese or Japanese or anything else but Scandinavians.
Im asking why is he black and what is the reason for it, I would not expect to see a white or chinese man playing the Shaft character or Blade. I'm asking are they casting Elba purely because they feel they have to.

Shortsightedness is not taking into account a peoples history and beliefs and Odin, Thor or any of the Norse gods were part of a religous belief.

Rest easy, boys. Branagh is, if nothing else, an accomplished Shakespearean actor and director. Period pieces and costumes are his forte. However, beware. They might look too period and too "real". Let us not forget that Asgard is otherworldly - it is not a reflection of Norse culture, but the supposed basis for it. We should all hope that Branagh reflects that, not only in the sets but the costumes.
