When we heard that Marvel had offered James Bond star, Daniel Craig, the role of Mighty Thor in their next movie endeavor, we couldn't help but wonder what the movie might be called...

Wisely, Craig immediately turned it down (see article HERE), but that didn't stop us from cracking wise about the hybrid movie titles that pairing brings to mind. So, in true Lettermanesque fashion, here are our top ten movie title picks:

1. For Thor Eyes Only

2. Odinpussy

3. The Man with the Stone Hammer

4. Coldfinger

5. Mjolnirraker

6. Thundergod (ball)

7. Midgard is Not Enough

8. The Spy Who Hammered Me

9. From Valhalla with Love

10. Odineye

Honorable mentions...
- The Man with the Golden Hair
- The Sif who Loved Me
- License to kill... With a Hammer
- On Lord Odin's Secret Service
- Casino Immortale

I'm shocked, that guy sucks enough as Bond and he's way too short and old (old, being a little worse than short , but way too short) for Thor. Thor is tall and youthful looking, not like pushing 50, should look no more than 30 on screen if you want to do more than one movie with him.

I'm blogging this hard.
Here are characters that can be shorter to name a few:
wolverine as we know, which happens to be played by a very tall guy (Yes, Jackman is over 6'2").
"Cap", he does not need to be tall, not a midget but Cap just need to be within average height with a nice build, remember, an average man took the serum.
Cyclops (irregardless of his actual height, it's never focused on)
Green Lantern
Vision (Trying to bi-partisan)
Flash
Aquaman
I could list many.

Characters that must be fairly tall:
Batman (Bale is not tall but the boots cover this, but Batman should be tall because it's just how the char [both identities] has always been portrayed, Robin goes on the other list)
Superman (Routh is actually taller than required but meets the criteria no problem, taller is better than shorter for Supes)
Thor (totally tall, should be treated like a blond Superman, hence not fricken 50 years old with cracked up skin). So Thor is blond Superman with long hair.

I could list more as well, but the taller list is much "shorter" than the shorter list, so the point is do it right since you don't need a tall guy for every character, but for the few that you do let's put some effort into it.

I can't fathom what they were or are thinking considering all the flop movies, the failures, the movies that fell extremely short of expectations, I'm just glad the guy said no, probably because he knows he is way too old and old LOOKING, ugly, short, and lame, reasons I've repeated many times.

I personally would be in the shorter category, and I'm not that old, but I can't even be thor or superman for Halloween out of respect, but I would look better for both than old ass Craig, no question about that.

Here are some of the people that I'm throwing out quick that could play Thor, and I'm not worrying about being buff, buff doesn't matter when you have superpowers.
It really doesn't, I'm a buffer guy which matters a lot in my opinion for casting of powerless super heroes because they rely on their natural, mortal strength so they should be in beyond optimal conditioning and it should show. But for Thors, Superman, Spiderman they should look very heathly, not too skinny and at least have tone.

Here are some okay picks, better than that loser Craig, these are picks of guys that can last the franchise since they take forever to do sequels, another thing I fricken hate (retards) but won't tangent on that one, no male models the long blond hair with look plenty pretty on most people:

Eric Johnson (Hello Favreau or whomever, pay attention to this list if you want to make bank, there is no better fan opinion than mine [I'm a comic book, action movie, anime, sci-fi, UFC, fan expert, etc]) not saying Eric is my first pick but he would fit the bill, and great writers and great directing could allow him to do very well.

Jensen Ackles (fits the age, build, and surpasses the required look, he is a little shorter and not as blond as Eric, but exceeds the size and toughness required for Thor).
And for a stretch, I'm going with Jared Padalecki (any actor would have to dye their hair to be bright blond and as long as we don't have a The Punisher 3 o'clock shadow Jared would look bad ass and his acting is good.

Edge from WWE (I don't know if he is WWE or Smackdown, and he probably can't act but would he look like an "awesome Thor" or what?", he might be a little on the older side, and again, doesn't meet the acting requirements, but would kick but way better than Craig, and if you want the younger audience he would tear that up way over Craig. I think he's a good talker and look at what the Rock has done.)

Ryan Reynolds (too skinny though, Thor doesn't have to be buff but he should be anorexic either, if Ryan could add a little weight, he doesn't need Michael Phelps abs, could Michael Phelps isn't someone you would have help you move a fridge). I like Ryan because he has the look with dyed hair, and the height, and gaining weight on his frame would work out for the part.

I will rate these now from first choice to last of my list, and I may have missed a good choice I know there are more choices in my head but I have to go with this for now, so out of these here are my choice, 1 being top choice so far.

1. Jensen
2. Jarod
3. Eric
4. Ryan
5. Edge

I think these guys could all do well, and they would be within budget, even cheaper. You cannot do a noname, but don't go for "supposed" oscar nominee either. First find the physical match, meets the minimum requirements, than within that batch make the selection based on longer term, acting ability, popularity, fan attraction of multiple ages, etc.

I hope someone with intelligence and of open-mind reads this, and the message spreads.

stavrcoche,

I agree with you somewhat; but one thing that you are absolutely wrong about is that Thor does not have to be buff. Are You Insane?! The Encyclopedia of the Marvel Universe lists Thor at 6'6" 640lbs. We know that no human being can match these dimensions, but you have to give a good representation. Thor is a Norse god. He goes toe-to-toe with the Hulk, Frost Giants, Surtur, even the Celestials. He has even taken on Galactus.

No shrimps with the hammer, please!

If you go WWE, you have to take Triple H, or even the Undertaker. A nod could be made to UFC's Brock Lesnar

Actors: Most are too small, but they have the acting skills. Brad Pitt would give you the box office. Then maybe some of the guys you mention.

You can take my word on this . . . I'm the guy who wrote Raimi and told him to go with The Rock as Kraven the Hunter in Spidey IV!

I think The Edge is good fit look wise. Triple H is good also.
