Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

@WellDrawn, considering the fact that "tights" really look waaaay better on the female persuasion rather than on males? LOL :P I think they've erred on the side of caution, I doubt every one of them want to run around showing just which of the country their manly dangly bits lay - if you get what I mean. Though I do understand what you're trying to say, I also know there's nothing much you can do - costume-wise - for anything below the waist no matter how hard you try. You could take a look at Nolan's Batsuits as a good example... it was pretty much overly detailed from the waist up, but became simpler from the waist down. Another good example is the Iron Man armor - pretty intricate detailing upwards than downwards most of the time.

...of course, the same can't be said of Joel Schumacher's Batsuits that tried very much to show the asscheeks with simulated crack even in costume *shudder* - there are just some things you must NEVER do or show in polite company.

on the other hand....

it's realy a great movie guys lot of humor and serious when it need to be serious i have seen it 3 times in 2 days and it never get's old :P

hawkeye does have a purple crossbow and purple gloves rest i could not realy see

dont lisen to the reviews that say it is not as good as iron man cause i think it's an EVEN match for now :P

i saw pirated print on net...in russian...man !!! i expected an incredible hulk kinda fight between THOR n destroyer....but it dissapointed mee...its lasted like 20secs :(

I just came back from watching Thor in IMAX 3D. It's such a fairy tale, but it works as such mostly because it chews what it bites.

About the Destroyer fight, I actually thought it was great because of its lenght, just cause it gives it great dinamics and fluidity, plus it's very straight forward, no cheesy tension. I instantly had the association on the dinamics of final fights as they usually are in contemporary comic books - issues are short, therefore are also the confrontations in last issues of arcs. It reminded me of that pace

@tea: yeah....i only saw the fighting scenes cuz of russian language...LOL..if only marvel could give us good final fights...even loki one didnt last that long :\ but still cant neglect their efforts for making and bringng such characters to life :)

Thor is AWESOME!!!!, I can't wait to see it again, I was a little worried it would be shield heavy after iron man 2 but it's mixed well and does feel crammed or rushed, if this is the bar marvel are setting I can't wait to see how captain america turns out
