In this latest clip from Bumblebee, a pair of very dangerous Decepticons make contact with Sector 7 in an effort to locate the little yellow Autobot of the title.

Triple-changers Shatter (Angela Bassett) and Dropkick (Justin Theroux) approach John Cena's character Agent Burns and pretend to be "peacekeepers" that simply want to avoid any further conflict with earth. Burns doesn't look to be convinced, but before he can respond his superior steps in and seemingly prepares to strike a deal with the villainous robots.

Check out the new clip below, and let us know if you're looking forward to Bumblebee in the comments.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.”

Bumblebee hits theaters on December 21, 2018.

Decepticons that actually seem like characters, I love how he muttered "this is humiliating " while he was playing along.

@NathimusPrime - Right!? Like I don't know what it is about Michael Bay but his decepticons always acted animalistic.

@DeadWade213 - Michael Bay:
They all have the same names. JUST ACCEPT THEM!

@NathimusPrime - Because Michael Bay treated the source material the way Zack Snyder did with the DCEU. He wanted to rush to the fights and create fodder for those scenes. While trying to make this over the top spectacle. And as you can see a reboot had to have been made.

@SonOfAGif - it's weird you find that correlation between Bay and Snyder, as I'd say this scene looks more like something Snyder would do than anything I've seen in either of the Bay Transformers movies I saw (the first two). This scene is giving me serious Man of Steel vibes, when Faora and Col. Hardy talked in the desert and Superman handed himself over.

Snyder and Bay are both predominantly action movie directors. They like big, CGI fight scenes, I'm pretty sure they went to the same film school around the same time so it's obvious there's some common ground between them. But from what I've watched in either of their filmographies, it seems like Bay doesn't care much for story or character, he just wants to push those visuals and effects and have fun, whereas Snyder at least tries to add a bit more to his films and add narrative and subtext and symbolism, although sometimes it does get a bit lost among the visuals.

@Roodi - I think it may play a part on how the humans perceive the Decepticons. I mean, between a car and a fighter jet, what would you rather have coming in your direction?

@Fritzthecat - the funny thing is, neither of there toys are triple changers.

I can't get over how good the Transformers look.

That alone will get me to buy a ticket.

I've heard that this is a reboot and the Transformers movies are starting over with this film. If that's the case, then why does it seem like so much from the Bayverse seem like its carrying over. Like Bumbkebees design, Sector 7, (Rumored) Bumblebees Camaro form. I get Bumblebees face design I guess for kids so they dont get confused, but it just seems odd.

Either way, I hope the Transformers films from here on out are actually thoroughly decent. Bumblebee actually looks like a good movie

@LegendaryOutlaw - It's not a full reboot, more of a reset but without completely wiping away all continuity from Bay's abominations. At least that's what I hear.
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 12/6/2018, 1:20 PM
@LegendaryOutlaw - this was already in production as a plain "prequel" when TF5 bombed hard. since then they've been playing coy about the continuity of the movie. if it's a success they'll probably treat it as a full-on reboot, with just similar elements to the previous series.

SummersEssex - 12/6/2018, 5:26 PM
@LegendaryOutlaw - I see it as being an X-Men: First Class Re-boot. Tell more of an origin story that still sort of fits in with what's already established so we can do what we actually want. Hopefully they don't miss the opportunity to soft re-boot and completely screw the pooch like the movies after First Class did.

So I can already tell that John Cena will be a good guy in this. They released a clip that ruined it.

these two already exhibit more personality in 10 seconds that all the other decepticons in the previous 5 movies. it's amazing how much something can be improved when you put in charge someone who actually gives a sh*t.

"We are decepticons" and then say they are the good guys. Deception is litterly in their name yet, let's believe them over the bad guy named "bumblbee"? Lol but for real I'm pumped for a transformers for the first time since I was let down with the first one.
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 12/6/2018, 12:46 PM
@Manmarvel - this is a point John Cena's character broughts up at one point in one of the TV spots. he says something like "are we really going to believe them? I mean, they are called DECEPTICONS"
Manmarvel
Manmarvel - 12/7/2018, 3:07 PM
@Spidey91 - lol I haven't seen that. I'm glad that's the case, also sets the stage for Cena to change sides.
