Hey guys, its your old pal Wadey again, with a bit of news for you! Or maybe you can call it a rumor, seeing as how I discovered this little tid bit of information from "reliable" Wikipedia. But that's enough stalling.
The rumored voice of Shockwave is (drumroll please!):
LIAM NEESON!
That's right ladies and gentlemen, the man who portrayed Zeus, Ra's Al Ghul, Qui-Gon Jinn, and the voice behind the Great Lion may be playing fan favorite Shockwave!
Of course the validity of this rumor is in serious question, as there has been no such announcement from either Michael Bay or Liam Neeson.
For those of you who haven't read it yet, here's the official plot synopsis:
"The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime 'Transformers' character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth."
Take this rumor as you will, but not so long ago, Shia Labeauf had stated that this was going to be the best Transformers film ever. And if Neeson is attached, well I cannot see how that could hurt!
Transformers: The Dark of the Moon lands in theatres July 1st, 2011!
