Will Unicron Appear in The Next Two Movies?

Some evidence I have gathered about the upcoming Transformers movies.

I have been doing research on whethter Unicron will appear in this movie series. I believe that the Matrix of Leadership's apparent appearance in the Transformers movie reinforces my theory.

Recently someone mentioned the fact that the Matrix of Leadership may not exist in Michael Bay's Transformer series, I hope that will prove to be false.

If the Matrix is indeed in the movie it contributes to the possibility of Unicron being in the third movie.

If you watch Transformers Optimus Prime opens his chest at one point revealing what may just be his Spark, or it could be the Matrix, as I think it is.

Michael Bay has said that Unicron would be fun to include in the next movie for "Comparison sake"

Here are some other reasons that Unicron may be in one of the next movies:

transformers Pictures, Images and Photos

Both the Fallen AND Sideways have been confirmed to be in the new movie.

The Fallen is a servant of Unicron.

Sideways is often depicted as a herald of Unicron. In the movie he turns into an Audi R8

Megatron is brought back to life in this movie, could Unicron in the form of Sideways be involved in Megatron's resurection.

It is confirmed that Megatron's fallen troops will be resurected as well.

If the Matrix is present in this continuity could this mean Prime will pass it on to a successor.

It is rumored Prime wil die in this movie or the next.

All of these facts fall into all interpretations of Unicron's storylines, so it is likely that he will be in the next two movies.

Recent spoilers have revealed that the Decepticons are looking for a powerful weapon in Egypt. It is hinted that the weapon will be used to destroy the Sun, or it could be used as it was in the Unicron Trilogy. In the Unicron Trilogy the Decpticons weapon was used to help bring Unicron to life.

These are but a few of the many reasons that Unicron will appear in a future movie

It wasn't really a decepticon weapon, it was the minicons that the decepticons stole from the autobots. It was actually three weapons. I just finished watching Armada, and I'm on to Energon. Armada was very dumb up until the last 10 or so episodes when they were getting into the deep mysterious crap and the whole Unicron showing up and blowing a giant chunk out of Cybertron. I say they could use Unicron as a sort of Apocalypse event that everyone is speculating about happening in 2012 anyway. The Planet X/Niburu angle. Google it. It's really fascinating. That would be badass if it was incorporated into Transformers and it turns out to be UNICRON!!!

Haha, cool. Unicron being Niburu. It could be a future possible angle :D

why they put stupid topics when they propably haven't read the comics where it is explained that the artifact in egypt is a harvester that the fallen and his brothers (13 original) built to restore the power for the allspark and its that harvester that will bring fallen back from his sarcophagus and the autobot who is gonna die its not Optimus,Bay already said that is Arcee, and the only soldier of megatron that is gonna be brought back to life its Blackout watch the showest movie when megatron kicks prime in the face he is next to megatron

Yea the device is called the space bridge or something. Bay revealed it in an interview. In the comics, optimus and megatron broke the space bridge; unleashing The Fallen.

Unicron WILL be in the third movie... and don't be surprised if this movie ends in a cliffhanger... if Bay knows he's making a third movie, why resolve all the loose ends in this one? I just hope they don't go Galactus on this and just have "Unicron's presence" be felt.... i want to see the real worldeater!

Good article dude! I fully believe your argument is accurate.

version4 - I hear you! Galactus was lame! Let's hope that when Unicron comes to screen we see the full glorious form!
TheMyth

That's how it happened in the comics too, Prime and Megatron destroyed the space Bridge by accident, which caused a tear in space and time allowing Unicron and his acolyte, the Fallen, to escape from the dimension they were banished to eons ago.

Bonecrusher is part of Devastator, so they need to bring him back too.

toushirou345: Everyone knows you don't take Bay's word for it. He likes to mess with and mislead the fan's right up until the release.

Wow, got some hatin going on here. OK, here it goes.

@Tobuttica, I know about the Minicons, they were the teams that made up the Requiem Blaster, the Skyboom Sheild, and the Star Saber, and together they formed the Hydra Cannon. But Thrust and Sideways used them to reawaken Unicron. I knew that, I just simplified it and applied it as Bay may use it.

@toushirou345. This wasn't just som "stupid topics when they propably haven't read the comics" I did read the comics, and I decided to simplify things so a person unfamiliar with the comics could understand it.
-Bay probably won't take the time to explain the Harvester angle.
-I never said Prime would die in this movie, but it is possible that he will in this one or the next.
-Arcee was the only death confirmed this far and knowing Bay it's probably false.
-It is likely Bay will spill a major spoiler like Prime dying.
-Blackout is the only one CONFIRMED THUS FAR to return, because it was in the trailer.
-If they follow the original movie many of his men will be back, especially since they have confirmed that 40-60 Transformers will be in the movie.

And Grif, I LIKE THAT PICTURE!

SHHH, Prime died in the original movie battling Megatron, his death in most media usually happens right before Unicron's appearance, like in Armada for instance, even though he was back a few episodes later. And Prie's death initiates a subplot where the Autobots try to find a replacement for him, which usually ends up being Hot Rod or Hot Shot.

Thanks to those of you who actually liked my article, I appreciate it.

Ok.. I loved Unicron in the classic animated movie but i dont think he will be in any future installments and if he will be, he wont be the same as his animated counterpart.

If the Autobots had a hard time defeating Megatron in the first movie, how can they stop a whole planet considering the movie versions dont even fly or own a spaceship? And in the Animation, the Transformers are smaller than 1/4 of his eye! If Bay decides to use Unicron, dont be disappointed coz he's gonna be waaaaaaaaaaay smaller.
THEHAWK
THEHAWK - 4/27/2009, 8:08 PM
Yeah James, Bay has talked about an Aircraft Carrier Transformer since 1, and unless he uses someone like Tidal Wave, if he uses an aircraft carrier he may make it Unicron.

But Bay did say he liked the idea of a moon or planet size Unicron simply because of the scale difference.
Osiris
Osiris - 4/27/2009, 8:13 PM
Unicron would be amazing but JamesH is prob right he is gona be smaller or it's going to be like F4 2, which speaking of that @version4 the only reason why Galactus was a cloud is because they didn't want to reveal his full form in the small scene that he was in in F4 2 they wanted to do it in the Silver Surfer spin off which prob will never get made now.
GUNSMITH
GUNSMITH - 4/27/2009, 8:38 PM
JUST DONT MAKE UNICRON A CLOUD-THAT WOULD BE SO RETARDED, YOU ALREADY DIDNT GIVE MEGATRON A ARM CANNON,

I really wish these studios would cease these short 3-tiered trilogies. I would have it be more like a serial where the story and characters are fleshed out to a satisfactory point. These films are too brief without much mystery to them. Hawk, were you not just captivated when they spoke of the force in small little pieces? Only giving us a taste, leaving us wanting a little more in each successive episode? I don't get that today in films. Everything is explained to us. It is as though they don't think we have imaginations that are more powerful that their weak attempts at visual effects.

I want more Starscream action before Unicron! I fell in love with that character from the beginning in the G1 series! He was always trying to usurp Megatrons authority and bully everyone else.

At 9min and 50sec, here is the first moment of Starscream on earth...just saying goodbye! With attitude.

Starscream and Dinobot (BW) are my favorite characters, and I to want more screen time for Starscream.

And yes Phin, I agree that things are over explained in movies.
Phinehas
Phinehas - 4/27/2009, 9:27 PM
Osiris, that only proves my point with the studios. They try and think for us. With Galactus and Silver Surfer, that story was way too epic to cram into an hour and a half. These people are greedy for the money. They are unwilling to sit on a project and wait for perfection. The Peter Jacksons of Hollyweird are too far and few between. That is to say, men that are driven by ideals and the passion to make it work on the small screen for the long haul.
Ironically the cash would fall from heaven into their laps if they were paitient and did it as the fans wanted and the story was originally presented/interpreted.

Yeah, Bay does love to mislead and play around with his comments intentionally and id rather not play into the hype he makes up but dont get me wrong though, i love the movies this guy makes and cant wait for Transformers 2, 3 and beyond! :)

I thought Megatron did have his arm cannon in the first movie. Towards the end, he put his arms together and formed a big gun and tried to blast Optimus (you know, hollywood's version of it). I thought it was sweet, but if he is getting a new cannon because of his new tank form, then that will be even sweeter.

Hawk, which Dinobot? Me Grimlock no understand.
THEHAWK
THEHAWK - 4/28/2009, 4:14 PM
The Dinobot from Beast Wars, he was freaki awesome. Probably my favorite Transformer ever, next to most of the incarnations of Starscream (all except for the one on the new tv show).

Phinehas - 4/28/2009, 4:21 PM
I can't watch the new TV show. I hate the over-exaggerated styling of animation. However I caught parts of GI Joe: Resolute, and it looked awesome! I hope it is on again when I have the opportunity so I can see the whole thing. I wish they gave that treatment to Transformers, (sighs) but, oh well. Gotta sell toys to the diapered trolls I guess.
I didn't give Beast Wars a proper chance when it was out. I thought it deviated too much from the original series. Turned out that I missed out.

Phin. It was a direct sequel to the original Generation 1.

If Unicron is gonna be in the third film then they're gonna have to have a 4th movie. And have his brother, Cybertron, take him on.

dellamorte, I am of the opinion that you, me, and just about everyone else will never see the G1 characters (You specifically named off characters that were killed in Transformers: The Movie [1986]) you mentioned because Mike Bay interprets this story any way he pleases with only abstract and meager similarities (ie, They're called Transformers, and some have the same names as the characeters we know) that draw us fans out.

Why do people like the Dinobots? Just curious. I think they are good warriors, but I don't get why people love them so much.
Phinehas
Phinehas - 4/30/2009, 4:05 PM
I suppose, as far as the G1 original series goes, they were the comic relief if you will. Much like the C3PO and R2D2 were in Star Wars. Also, it showed how Transformers reproduced I guess. I wasn't a big fan of the dinobots, but they certainly didn't annoy me either. As I said before, IMO, Starscream was the best. He was always seeking to overthrow Megatron and didn't even try to hide his agenda of usurpation from the reigning ruler. Now, that's ballsy!
Oddfellow
Oddfellow - 5/1/2009, 3:37 AM
All I have to say is this: Don't push it.
We cried and begged and moaned for Venom in the Spider-Man movies and when the producers caved and gave it to us, it was awful.
They will do the same with Unicron and you'll be like GODDAMMIT!
And I'll be here, telling you I told you so.
Phinehas
Phinehas - 5/1/2009, 8:12 PM
I don't know what you mean by all this "We" crap, Oddfellow. "I" wanted to see the Osborne saga play out thoroughly as well as see Connors become the lizard. Before Venom I would have liked to have seen Shocker, Skorpion, Kraven, Hobgoblin, or even Mysterio. These comicbook movies should not be dealt with in 3 tiered story arc because they can literally go on forever. Numbering the Spiderman movies was the stupidest thing the studio could have done. The numbers will seem burdensome and neverending to the public.

Venom was thrown out there because they got greedy to draw a crowd. Pure and simple. It wasn't because of public outcry. I don't blame the public or Raimi...entirely. It was a top down decision.
THEHAWK
THEHAWK - 5/2/2009, 8:38 AM
Raimi had no choice, he didn't want Venom in the movie. It was supposed to be Sandman and Harry, but the studios said "either Venom is in or you are out" so Raimi had no choice in the matter. I didn't want Venom, I would have preferred the return of Gobby of Mysterio!
Phinehas
Phinehas - 5/2/2009, 10:28 PM
Well, one thing I hope to see is a little more backstory development with the autobots and decepticons. Perhaps Bay will tell us how and why they were made in the first place. Explaining that a class system developed between the groups and war eventually breaking out the way the G1 toon told us. That would be nice. Right now, as it is, they haven't really personified them to the point where I feel compassion to the transformer's plight. In the cartoon, they came looking for new resources and landed on earth millions of years ago and remained in stasis until teletran was revived by geologic activity. The movie was from human's point of view.
