Adult Swim has announced that the fourth season of hilarious animated series Rick and Morty will return for its fourth season on November 10. It's only five episodes, but we should get another five early next year.

The new trailer is an bonkers as you'd expect, with the titular pair encountering some new faces (some of which are blown through the back of their heads), as well as a few old friends such as Mr. MeeSeeks and Mr. Poopy Butthole.

There's also a clever little Doctor Strange reference as Rick commands his lab-coat to "rip off" the Sorcerer Supreme's Cloak of Levitation.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know if you're looking forward to the return of Rick and Morty in the comments.

After the surge in popularity and the awful fanbase stuff, I thought it might be too cringy upon returning but somehow and thankfully it doesn't look it.

This show rocks, hands down the best cartoon on tv right now.. the fact that they got McDonald’s a multi billion dollar corporation to bring back a dipping sauce years after the original.. and years before Disney can crank out a remake only speaks to the shows reach and fan base. Is it for everyone? Nope. Is every single episode pure gold? No, but what show is? This is a wonderfully entertaining, and mentally engaging pop culture/ science fiction, laughter inducing show.. haters gonna hate.. they still got renews doe 7 more years! That speaks for itself.. money maker.. it’s ricktacular!

To all the haters, stop being a Jerry..

Only 10 episodes. This season won't last nearly long enough. Also, WEN RICK & MORTY MOVIE?!

Todd Philips: PC culture killed comedy.
Rick and Morty: hold my filthy and graphic alien guts.

Season three had like one good episode, and the Pickle Rick episode was enough to justify at least euthanizing the fanbase.

Looking great! Love the show, last season was uneven, but it had lots of great stuff in it. Tales from the Citadel is easily one of the shows top episodes ever.
