RICK AND MORTY Season 7 Premiere Cold Open Reveals Justin Roiland's Replacement As Mr. Poopybutthole

Rick and Morty season 7 premieres on Adult Swim this, and the network has shared the episode's cold open (via SFFGazette.com). In that, we witness the long-awaited return of Mr. Poopybutthole following a series of memorable cameo roles in post-credits scenes.

Those revealed that there wasn't room for him in the show but he's finally about to be put front and centre. Unsurprisingly, he's not doing well. In recent years, Beth has shot him, he lost both his family and job, and then broke both his legs while attempting to get his life back on track.

Now, though, he's staying in Beth and Jerry's house, and all that negativity seems to be driving the family nuts.

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland (who was fired for alleged sexual misconduct) previously voiced Mr. Poopybutthole, meaning this clip reveals what he'll sound like moving forward. There is an undeniable difference but this soundalike does a great job and, based on the first reviews for the premiere, the same can be said for the new Rick and Morty as well.

Check out this clip from "How Poopy Got His Poop Back" in the players below.

Adult Swim previously shared episode titles and brief descriptions for season 7, and while they don't reveal much, it sounds like we're in for a fun 10 episodes.

"How Poopy Got His Poop Back" – Broh, Come Out With Us, You're Being So Boring Dude
"The Jerrick Trap" – Gotta be mindful Broh, big brain stuff here.
"Air Force Wong" – Virigina is For Lovers Broh
"That's Amorte" – Broh, That's-A Some Good Spaghetti
"Unmortricken" – Rick And Morty Wilding Out, Broh. They getting up to stuff.
"Rickfending Your Mort" – Gotta keep those receipts, Dawg.
"Wet Kuat Amortican Summer" – High School, Broh. Morty and Summer hang out in this one.

"Mort: Ragnarick" – Heaven is for real, Broh. I saw it, Broh, I swear.
"Fear no Mort" -Only thing to fear is fear itself, Broh.

"Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever!" reads the synopsis for the show's return. "It's season seven, and the possibilities are endless: What's up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let's find out!"

"There's probably less piss than last season," it continues. "'Rick and Morty,' 100 years! Or at least until season 10!"

Rick and Morty season 7 premieres on Adult Swim on October 15.
