THE BOYS "Still Alive" At Paramount With Adam McKay At The Helm

The latest on the troubled adaptation of Garth Ennis' controversial comic series is that it is "in active development" at Paramount, and Adam McKay is still attached to bring it to the screen..

A while ago we heard that Paramount were interested in Adam McKay to direct their adaptation of the ultra-violent (and ultra everything else) comic series from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, but there was never any official word on it. Since then the director has pretty much confirmed that he was interested, and they were trying to make it happen, but all has been quiet for quite a while - until now. A Tweet from Variety's Jeff Schneider has prompted the following reply from McKay..

Although that's still not a definite "moving forward", it's something! Hopefully this happens, as the potential for a really great - completely bat-shit crazy - CBM is there. We'll update with more if we hear anything.

I wonder what the reaction would be like if some one else besides Simon Pegg was cast as Hughie, but then again it is a distinct possibility with Pegg already being apart of Paramounts two big franchises so the dudes well connected. But fingers crossed this happens and we get the series that is completely [frick]ing crazy

Garth Ennis IS shit, but he's a good shit. That end of day shit that feels good even though it hurts a little.
