Peter Serafinowicz's THE TICK Gets An Updated Costume As Amazon Series Starts Shooting

As superhero costumes go, The Tick's is pretty ridiculous! That's probably why he received a slightly more grounded look in the Amazon Prime pilot, but after taking on board comments from fans whose reviews ensured a full season order, the online streaming service has updated Peter Serafinowicz's costume to look a lot closer to both the original TV version and the one from the comic books.

The Tick has started filming and the Guardians of the Galaxy actor is set to be joined by a still unconfirmed cast. Jackie Earle Haley and Whoopi Goldberg were among those in the pilot episode.

What do you guys think about this costume? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section.

I loved the cartoon. The first live action was entertaining, but utterly crap at the same time.

@RancidBane - I'm just hoping for the best. Hopefully with the pilot the gauged what worked and what didn't.

@RancidBane - I don't get it… How are we supposed to tell the difference when they don't show us the original? Fail!

@RancidBane - I never liked the live action. I'd be 100% on board if they gave the cartoon another shot.

Didn't see it, is it any good?

@ODanil - I liked it. It's different though. More like a quasi-serious superhero show with the Tick inserted inside. Definitely worth giving it a shot, just keep in mind that it's very different from the other versions of The Ticket.

@ODanil - It holds promise, but as Chatham said, it's a bit of an odd duck.

Serafinowiczs is pretty damn good, and the Arthur is perfectly cast, but the pilot just didn't know what it wanted to be.

@Chatham - The title, THE TICK, has a double meaning in the pilot.

Loved the comic back in the day saw a few episodes of the cartoon and absolutely loved the first live action show. This show however is not in any way the correct tone for the Tick. While each had its problems this version just did not catch the spirit of the Tick with the slapstick kind of comedy. It took to serious of a real world look at things. Ultimately I am not a fan of the new show.

I enjoyed the first episode and it will be interesting to see where the series goes next.

On a different topic, I hope Amazon can work with DC for an episode with Ambush Bug in the show.
