IronE Singleton Reflects On The Shocking Events Of Last Sunday's Episode Of THE WALKING DEAD

IronE Singleton (better known as The Walking Dead's 'T-Dog') shares his thoughts on the shocking events of the latest episode of the hit AMC series which brings Robert Kirkman's critically acclaimed comic book to life on the small screen. Check it out! [WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD]

During his time on The Walking Dead, T-Dog became something of a joke to fans as his, well, uselessness became one of the biggest talking points in a mostly uneventful (but still very good) second season. However, IronE Singleton was finally given a chance to shine this year before quickly being dispatched in the latest episode as he was first bitten by a walker and later sacrificed himself to a whole group of them in order to save Carol. "I am totally and completely satisfied in how the show went," the actor told Comic Book Resources. "It's not my call to really say that I wanted more or less or anything like that."

As for how he discovered that his time on the show would be coming to an end, he reveals that it was just as surprising to him as it was to those who tuned in on Sunday night. "I didn't have a say directly, but I'm wondering if the execs were just listening to my interviews. I was asked, if T-Dog dies, how would I like to get to die? I said, 'Just heroically. To go out a hero the way T-Dog did very special to me." However, that doesn't mean he wasn't pleased with how his time on the show ended! "As far as getting my flesh ripped apart by zombies, it's really fun. You should try it sometime," he laughed before adding, "Maybe Merle can have that encounter with T-Dog zombie! That would have been special."

I know about the 3 graves preview, but he was never put down by anyone yet. So he could turn, right? Who are the graves for...Lori, T and ????

I think it was a mistake to kill him before he met Merle again. Merle should have chopped his head off.

Nah I would have liked to see em meet up again, but he owed Merle the ass whoopin..and it would have been cool for him to show how much tougher he'd become since. But anyway, never happen now. I don't think T should have been killed off, I was just starting to think we might see some real development..and there was MORE than enough shock factor and emotion with Lori's death.

He did the right thing. He knew he was doomed and his sacrifice saved Carol. Good man!
Lori and T dead in one episode, man it's too much to take. :(

T-dog was never a character on the show anyway, he was a plot device. He was there to establish that Merle was a racist bad guy. Once that became known T-dog became superfluous and was dispatched. They didn't even bother to give him a real name, that's Hollywood for you, always give the black characters cartoon names and no dignity, have him fetch for Massa and then get rid of him. Typical.

he did more in the first four episode's of season 3 than he did in the entire first & second season's.if t-dawg had not done so much in the first four episodes maybe he could of spread it out over the entire season & lived until the season finale.

I was far more upset that T-Dawg died then Lori. Lori was nothing but a head ach. T-Dawg stepped it up and it was like the 3 musketeers. I dont know what it is abut that show but the writers must hate Women. Lori was nothing but trouble, Carol is "barely keeping u with the class." Andrea was becoming badass then this Governor stuff. The only two I care about is Maggie and Michonne.

I liked T-Dog but the writers gave him nothing to do...so now he is gone just like Lori with several others to follow. Hard to see how or why Rick will have any motivation to carry on once everyone else is dead. They are writing themselves into a corner.

I did enjoy the "seriously?" look on T-Dog's face a few eps ago, when the prisoners beat up the walkers like they were in some sort of riot.

Lost my shit at that picture. Glad I wasn't drinking anything.

Really wish him and Merle met up again. It really would have shown how one of them had grown (T-Dog kicking his ass or Merle not being as much of a racist [frick]tard).

Damn, then him and Merle could have gotten separated from the group and had all sorts of awesome webisode adventures.

BlueDemon seriously said he wished the racist character had chopped off the black guy's head.

Amazing.

And all the folks saying they never said T-Dog's name? It was Theodore. Bam.

MisterMagurlypse - 11/6/2012, 5:24 PM
That's what I thought, Corndog. I, personally would tie his ass to a tree and use him for target practice. Seeing as he's the one responsible for all this $h¡T.

Oh come on, it's not because of racism.. Racism is in the eyes of the beholder. It's just that Merle's a badass e T-dog is T-dog.
DaneE5R
DaneE5R - 11/6/2012, 5:45 PM
Seriously? Can someone tell me what was so bad ass about Merle? He was a racist [frick] who got chained to the top of a building for being a racist [frick] and that was pretty much the extent of his character in the one episode he (really) appeared in. Swear to God, Merle is like the Boba Fett of The Walking Dead. He was famous and beloved for doing not jack shit.

you kinda don't need the (Major spoiler warning) thing at this point.. This site had ignorantly put up a picture on the homepage of him getting bit for the past week, which already did the job of spoiling it for everyone. But thanks anyway

RIP. He will be missed, really - I've grown into liking the character after the little things shown from him. I'm glad he got the heroic death at least, though.

Too bad, I was - and I believe we all were - expecting him to be REALLY big this season, especially with Merle's return...he should've been killed by Merle only. That would be a lot cooler, and better for the character too.

So now, let's really give Merle an encounter with Zombie T-Dog.
EarOne

Yeah...if it weren't for all the spoilers, i woulda thought WHY kill T Dog now when they just brought back Merle..?? their "reunion" would be cool..actually, i'm more eager for THAT reunion than the one between merle and his bro..well, since we didn't really have anything strong on the brothers interacting before, aside from the hallucination the lil bro had.

i think CAROL is the useless one, with both her daughter and abusive hubby all gone already, she didn't really have any story left to tell anyway.

as for Lori..well, not that i like the character, but, i was surprised at her being killed off THIS early, this season. sides..with her being dead, we gotta have a new good lookin female character to look at. maggie's fine. andrea..her age starting to show. michonne..well, she's FIT, but, she's just too angry all the time. we need another or a couple more fresh female faces..SOON.

and, yeah..PLEASE, have MORE blacks, or non-white characters and not have this cliche of a horror show with one TOKEN black guy who's killed off too soon.
