Last night's episode was pretty shocking as Shane met his demise, not only once, but twice. First Rick guts him like a pig, and then Rick's son, Carl, unloads on zombie Shane. I'm not happy that the actor Jon Bernthal and his character are gone from the show, but his death and Dale's now leave the viewer with that sense of real dread that someone else could kick the bucket at any moment. And that is the charm of the comic books as well, they don't hold onto characters forever. No matter what death could be around the next corner.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9/8c on AMC. The show stars: Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sarah Wayne Callies, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, and Melissa Suzanne McBride.

Finally.. it's becoming a horror show again... esp with the preview for next week....

while I love the main cast, and death from evil "humans" is always maybe going to surface...

EVERY cop show has death from evil humans.. this show has freakin zombies!!! and the suspense of them slowly cornering you and maybe killing you is what makes me nervous and I'll admit, on the edge of my seat close to scared. It's what this season has been missing. Nobody seemed scared in the show, or watching the show since the first episode of the season.

LAst night's episode was so good. I liked how they paid homage to the actual event portrayed in the comic..

Sorry for the naive question but why do Shane and the prisoner he killed come back as zombies? I thought you had to be infected. After all, I men Rick shot in the bar stayed dead.

@NoRegrets: Zombies still decompose, and it's likely any zombie trapped in a car during a hot Georgia summer would have a lot of decomposition. The brain matter would be complete mush, and thus the corpse would be truly dead.

Hey at what point can vandalsavages trolling be considered trolling that we can report? Or should I just leave it alone?
