THE WALKING DEAD Season 5: Morgan To Return?

The Walking Dead season 5 will not air until October but we already have one potential plotline thanks to executive producer Scott M. Gimple. The Walking Dead EP says he's determined to have Morgan (Lennie James) return to the show.

The Walking Dead season 4 recently ended and season 5 won't air until October but we already have one potential plotline thanks to executive producer Scott M. Gimple's interview with Lary King.

 

"I am so determined to make that happen by hook and by crook that I can say definitively, ‘Yes'. But there's time and tide that can get in the way."

 

In the video above, King throws a lot of fan questions at Gimple, who  answers a whole lot more besides whether Morgan will return, including when The Walking Dead could possibly end. But back to the question of Morgan, is it possible that he's Rick and co.'s savior from the hands of the Terminus cannibals?

I have always enjoyed Lennie James as an actor on whatever show he is on. He was great in Jericho and has been great in the Walking Dead too. It would be great if he becomes a full time cast member. If WB was smart they would cast him as Black Manta.

Awesome. I loved the episode where Rick found him in that booby trapped town. That was just fantastic television. It would be cool if he saved them...

in order for walking dead to get back up they need to implement Neegan and start killing people off . Gain that much needed attention back and push sick rick to the edge

Morgan is EASILY the best character on The Walking Dead. He's the most fleshed-out, most compelling, most interesting character they've ever had. Says a lot about the writers, because he's only been in around TWO episodes (and those episodes have, not coincidentally, been the best episodes of the entire show). This season (or at least, the 1st half) was a step up from season 3, but the Governor crap dragged it down again, predictably. I'm all for the Terminus plot to get wrapped up within the first 10ish episodes, and then moving on to more interesting stuff, hopefully heavily involving Morgan.

I was hoping for Morgan to return when the prison was getting attacked by The Governor a second time. Morgan to be brought back in Season 5 would be amazing, he's one of the most interesting characters on the show.

It makes sense. He would be a perfect love interest for Michonne, considering they both lost their sons.

...and in the comics he played a larger role as part of the group as well.
