THE WALKING DEAD Season 6, Episode 4 Promo: "Here's Not Here" - MAJOR SPOILER

So.... yeah, The Walking Dead just went there. Fans of the comic books may have figured this was coming at some point this season, but the way in which it went down will still have been a shock. If you've seen tonight's episode, check out a promo for next week's here...

The Walking Dead would seem to have killed off (there are theories that is was a fake out... but we'll see) another major character tonight - but not just any major character, one who has been around since the very first season and has remained a firm fan favourite right the way through to this sixth season. Glenn (Steven Yeun) met his maker at the hands (and jaws) of a pack of walkers after the ever-useless Nicholas couldn't even kill himself properly and inadvertently wound up making the poor chap zombie chow.

Glenn checks out very differently in the comics, and most fans expected this character's demise to coincide with the introduction of new big bad, Negan, but it seems the showrunners want to keep everyone on their toes this year.

Anyway, take a look at the teaser and a sneak peek at next week's ep below, and let us know what you thought of this shocking instalment in the usual place.

I didn't believe all the theories that he's still alive at first...but it would kinda make sense. Just do his (real) death justice if he is still alive...*ahem* Megan.

Aish... You guys are so gullible, Glenn is not dead, he still alive somehow maybe using Nicholas body as shield or whatever, he's still filming season 6.

He's not dead. Most recently seen on set filming with the introduction of Paul Monroe from the comics. Pretty silly for Gimple and co. to try and fool everyone like this.

antman8o8 yeah.

If this is really Glenn's death... they done [frick]ed up a reat scene from the comic, so Scott Gimple better make up for that.

Not every iconic scene from the comics has to be the same in the TV. They've make a great job at adapting those scenes with different characters.
Hershel taking Tyreese place was even better for the show. Negan can still smash someone else head.
And if this was Glenn's dead it was a good one. It show us again that doing the "good" thing in this world gets you kill.

And finally that last Rick scene was great, he felt completely beat, he was about to cry in fear for Alexandria and not knowing what happened to Glenn and if Carl is safe.

I completely agree that nothing needs to be exactly the same as the comics, but Glenn getting bashed by Negan is just sooo much better. I mean, the whole original crew ends up seeing it happen and its extremely powerful. That's just a death from the comics that has to happen the exact same way in the show.
Kurne
Kurne - 10/25/2015, 8:23 PM
I haven't seen the episode but did hear of his apparent "death" a few days ago.

I too would like to believe this is just a ruse considering Steven Yeun has been seen on set for the rest of the season, but then again, THAT could also be a ruse. AMC may have just gotten smarter and want to fool everyone.

If Glenn is still alive tho, he's definitely not dying by Negan. They can't pull this Glenn-dying shit again.

@Kurne I was thinking about AMC keeping him on set as well to fool everyone...but are they really that smart?

He's alive. But, wouldn't the zombies have eaten through Nicolas and gotten to Glenn??
Chekkarma

Just re-watched the episode I'm pretty sure he's still alive...by some fluke I think he manages to slip under the dumpster while Nick gets devoured....Anybody else think Rick is gonna cut of his hand since he got walker blood in his wound??

daveB
daveB - 10/25/2015, 8:53 PM
What's up with the cut on ricks hand full of Walker blood? The talking dead was cryptic about what happens in the comic about that?
WarnerBrother
WarnerBrother - 10/25/2015, 9:09 PM
If he slips under the dumpster, the Walkers should still smell him or see his movement.

Maybe Nick's blood covering Glenn, serves as a mask that fools the Walkers into thinking Glenn
is the remaining blood pool of Nick and they move off when the Wolves,or who ever was firing
shots in the town draws them off.

I would not be shocked if that person shooting guns in the town is Jesus.

For those viewers who don't read the comics, this could be a cruel turn of events to have Glenn somehow survive
an impossible situation like this only to meet the Negan later this season.

If Glenn is in fact dead then it's pretty damn clear that Darryl will replace Glenn in the Fan Favorite scene with Negan.

I so hope everyones right and he isn't dead. I almost cried. And Rick!?!?! We are gonna have to wait a few episodes to even find out what happened!
Jables
Jables - 10/25/2015, 9:24 PM
I can't wait for Negan's intro. Should be interesting to see if Glenn really is dead, and if so, the showrunners really don't care about following the comics anymore.. Glenn needs to meet Negan if he didn't die this episode.. He deserves to die like he did in the comics.

Love this show!!! But it doesn't have the balls like Game of Thrones has.
WarnerBrother
WarnerBrother - 10/25/2015, 9:29 PM
What the hell is it with this show that characters don't "Save the last bullet for themselves" or mercy kill
a friend being torn apart inches from them? That guy,David, his face was pressed against the chain link
fence as he was being eaten alive.

It would have been easy for one of the survivors to shove a blade into his head to end his suffering
and an object lesson for Heath about not being able to save everybody after he gave Michonne so
much crap during the episode about Rick's group's ability and willingness to move on if someone
can't keep up.

That should have been Heath's moment to fully understand that the world doesn't care
about your intentions. Some people are going to die during any outing and there's nothing
to be done about it.

Heath should have shoved a knife into David's head, then looked at Michonne with a look
of "I get it"

Also, what's with the female survivor trying to take a whole herd with her instead of turning
her gun on herself?

Everybody in this world should have made the determination that if cornered with a gun
in their hand, they would save themselves from an agonizing death and the possibility
of re animation,by taking one to the temple.

Let's see...

- Unclear as to who's guts were being eaten

- Steven Yeun wasn't on Talking Dead

- His name didn't appear in the "memoriam" segment

- Scott Gimple's comment that we'll see Glenn again in some form this season

- Yeun is still shooting episodes

I really hope this isn't a cheap fake-out, but if it is they've certainly telegraphed the signs. Or, they've done all this to make us think it's a fake-out but it really isn't. Or something.

I doubt Glenn's dead. I believe the producers wanted to fake out folks since EVERYONE is expecting him to die in the finale when Negan gets introduced. So killing him NOW would be something nobody would had expected. Funny thing is I've been believing Glenn wasn't the one who dies by Negan's Lucille in the finale -but Abraham. Since that character's death in the comics has already been used for the prisoner, Axel in season 2. Abraham's time is coming up soon -just as Glenn. But I have to doubt myself about Negan killing Glenn now because would the producers do 2 BIG fake outs in the same season with the same character.

Anyhow, IF this is a fake out. I believe the producers will have overestimated the viewers patience. They will have to work really hard to sell the audience that Glenn survives that horde. Of course, there is the Hilltop community that gets introduced in the back half. Glenn could be held there healing, after being rescued by them, as a way to introduce characters like Jesus and Gregory.

Yeun has been shooting episodes -even as late as last Friday. They should be on either episode 13 or 14 so unless Glenn is a walker and makes a few appearances as a zombie, I sincerely doubt the character really died in tonight's episode.
