First Official THE WALKING DEAD Season 8 Image Features A Reunion Between Two Fan-Favorite Characters

Ahead of its big SDCC panel next week, we have the first official still from the upcoming eighth season of The Walking Dead, and it looks like Daryl and Carol are going to be teaming up to do some damage.

EW has debuted the first official image from The Walking Dead season 8, and it brings Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) back together again after the trying times of the previous few episodes.

Though these two did briefly reconcile last season when Daryl tracked Carol back to her solitary cabin, it sounds like the pair will be in a much more positive place when the show returns in October, and more than ready to seek retribution against Negan and his Saviors.

Check out the pic below, and be sure to stay tuned for more The Walking Dead-related content as we head towards SDCC.

Damn excited for this. JDM as Negan is one of the best things to happen to this show

I can't wait, I do really love this show. I know it's got some pacing issues but it's still a great show

@RebelCommander - I cant believe that due to this past half a season of fear the walking dead, I care more for fear than the original. Fear seems to have better writing and characterization. Also while I'm OK with walking dead sticking to settlements, Fear is always on the move. Sometimes revisiting areas and showing how the dead have taken over it (the hotel resort for instance). I enjoy both shows and USED to love walking dead. But If Fear keeps up this quality, it will be one of my top shows

@Vigor - pretty much couldn't agree more. Fear has been steadily growing better since season 2 started and I love its characters and stories. (RIP to my favorite character that was taken far too soon)

Im typically the biggest WD defender... but this show needs a shot in the arm. Something to reinvigorate my attention, because it's waning.

@Kman - They really need to just pick up the pacing. Fear the Walking Dead is actually doing a better job at it and is quickly becoming a better show.

Hopefully this show picks up its pacing. I understand the need for character development and all, but the show has been on for nearly 7 years. Most hour long TV shows don't last over 5 seasons/years. The show needs to start looking for its end game and soon because stretching these seasons is getting tiring.

@BlackHulk - it's not the issue of character development, really. The writers just don't know how to utilise one page of dialogue. They stretch it out over 5 bloody [pages]/minutes.

Maybe it's hard because they can't jump to different locations or characters as easily as a modern day-soap or whatever... but still.
