It's true, Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen accepts Ra's al Ghul's (Matt Nable) offer to become his heir and lead the League of Assassins one day. On this development, Guggenheim told TV Line, "So the question is, first of all, why the hell would he do that? And once he's done it, how is there still an Arrow -- both in terms of the hero and, quite frankly, the show itself? Once you're in [the League], you're in [as the new Ra's]. But in order to stay in, you've got to do some stuff."
And what of Ra's daughter Nyssa (Katrina Law) who entire indentity seemed to be based on the fact that SHE was the Demon's heir? "There was an agenda behind her going back to Starling City that we're still not aware of," teases Guggenheim. We're going to find out Nyssa's secret in season 3 episode 21, "Al Sah-him".
Guggenheim also teased another wedding this season [in season 3 episode 22, "This Is Your Sword"].
Fans hoping for a new direction for Arrow next season will be pleased to know that they'll learn the identity of that season's main villain in the Arrow season 3 finale (titled "My Name is Oliver Queen"), airing May 13.
