ARROW Season Finale Will Tease LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Plot

Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim teases that tonight's season 3 finale of Arrow will foreshadow things to come for Brandon Routh's A.T.O.M. in The Flash/Arrow spinoff, Legends of Tomorrow.

What can fans expect from the intriuging Arrow/Flash spinoff, Legends of Tomorrow (LoT)? Tune in tonight to Arrow's season 3 finale which will have a send off for Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer that should clue veiwers in on where LoT is heading.  Said Guggenheim, " Ray's [Brandon Routh] last scene, which is a very definitive sendoff, was actually something we talked about way back at the beginning of the year, long before the spinoff was discussed. While Ray's sendoff does a nice job of teeing up where he is headed in the spinoff, it was always something we were going to do. It functions both as an end to Ray's story in season three, as well as a little tease of what people might be able to expect from the spinoff."

Arrow wraps up its third season tonight at 8PM on The CW.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: When heroes alone are not enough ... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and  villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"

This spinoff sounds terrible.

Flash alters the past to save mom so Sara living and maybe the real Dr.Wells living would be a consequence right?Like Flashpoint paradox?

This spin off feels so random, but still interesting.
I've heard Sara maybe The White Canary

@Doopie,

Yeah Arthur Darvill is Doctor Who, wait I mean Rip Hunter. He has worked with Carlos Valdes on Broadway also. Here's hoping the Atom shrinks tonight.

@JH24

Dr. Wells being alive should be one of the changes indeed if Barry changes the timeline. And Tom Cavanagh needs to stay on board.

@thegambitfreak

Really? Because it seems like there is a lot less room in Legends for drawn out romance stories, which is the worst thing about Arrow and Flash. Obscure DC heroes time-travelling with Rip Hunter to save the universe sounds pretty appealing to me, but if rom-dram is your thing, I guess we'll never agree on anything.

Well Ray did tell Felicity he was working on something else during last week's episode. Perhaps he is indeed trying to connect those nanites in his head to connect with the suit since he already created that brainwave device to control the suit. And Ray's exact words were "Plus, I had this little idea I just couldn't kick."

it will be weird if flash changes the timeline, what will happen to cisco and caitlin? will they turn into villians?

Spinoff is random and an evident attempt to jump on the cohesive universe wagon I'm sorry. The tease and set up came out of nowhere. Went from Ray joining Arrow to will he get his own show to oh team up....out of nowhere

@doop

I don't think shrinking is going to happen! If it was, I would think they would have done it this season before Ant-Man comes out so he won't seem like a rip-off.
He'll just remain an Iron Man knock off instead.

Like arrow has suffered because writers have given more to flash, Flash may suffer after writers give more to legends of tomorrow

"Plus, I had this little idea I just couldn't kick."

^ Ray's exact words to Felicity and this was before telling Felicity that he could use her help with signing those papers. Ray's definitely close to shrinking.

It's going to be a Blue Beetle and Booster Gold show with ATOM and Rip Hunter, just watch.

@ComicsBornAndBred

But I think everyone is more thrilled to see another spin-off that is featuring more guys than just Atom, though. Even in this season, Atom didn't seem fit like he could handle a series all on his own.

Brandon Routh's ATOM is also going to be on the Flash season finale next week. Come to think of it, we also never got any kind of answer about if or how Jean Lohring is connected to Ray Palmer and at the beginning of this season they said we would.

I can't wait to see Thea in the Arsenal costume tonight also. I guess if Roy shows up again, he will probably have a suit more like his Young Justice outfit.

@ComicsBornAndBred The reason Arrow has suffered is because the series was ill conceived and cast very bad as well.

The crux of the series was Oliver Queen: asshole rich kid turns serial killer because his Dad left him a book with names.

Moira: Evil mother of Oliver who cooperated with Merlyn to destroy Starling City. And she set up a person to die to protect herself.

Thea: Bratty, hateful, drug addict sister of Oliver.

Laurel: Bratty, hateful, drug addict former girlfriend of Oliver.

Tommy: Bratty rich boy friend of Oliver and son of Merlyn.

Felicity: Originally was a small role. Idiot blonde geek, computer whiz.

Diggle: Black Driver, nice guy.

Oliver's goal is season 1: Kill people in book.

Oliver's goal in season 2: Stop killing people to honor Tommy. But he still killed people.

Oliver's goal in season 3: He had no goal until around episode 18 when he decided to pretend to be Ra's boy.

Compare that to The Flash's likable and interesting characters, great cast and yearlong interesting storyline and you see why The Flash is the better show with greater ratings that won the People's Choice Award for best new drama while Arrow was ignored.

I would call Arrow a trial by error learning experience for it's creators. They rushed it together thinking a moody Nolan rip would be successful. But the show's diseased Nucleus is just too flawed and unappealing to be salvaged. It is cursed to limp along with until it's death.

The show's creators learned from their mistakes and did better in creating the core of The Flash.

@TheAmbassador

This is a doozy, but how I view the timeline for Arrow's third season and Flash's first season are:

- Flash 1x01
- Arrow 3x01
- Arrow 3x02
- Flash 1x02
- Flash 1x03
- Arrow 3x03
- Flash 1x04
- Arrow 3x04
- Flash 1x05
- Arrow 3x05
- Flash 1x06
- Arrow 3x06
- Flash 1x07
- Arrow 3x07
- Flash 1x08
- Arrow 3x08
- Flash 1x09
- Arrow 3x09
- Arrow 3x10
- Arrow 3x11
- Arrow 3x12
- Flash 1x10
- Flash 1x11
- Flash 1x12
- Arrow 3x13
- Flash 1x13
- Flash 1x14
- Arrow 3x14
- Arrow 3x15
- Flash 1x15
- Flash 1x16
- Arrow 3x16
- Flash 1x17
- Flash 1x18
- Arrow 3x17
- Arrow 3x18
- Arrow 3x19
- Flash 1x19
- Arrow 3x20
- Flash 1x20
- Flash 1x21
- Flash 1x22
- Arrow 3x21
- Arrow 3x22
- Arrow 3x23
- Flash 1x23

I could be wrong here and there but after last night's episode, I would suggest this timeline.

Didn't Ray have Felicity sign a contract for Queen Industries without her knowing what it was? All he has to do is sign it and I'm assuming it will be her's (to give back to Oliver) and that's the way to write him off as well. He's moving on to further work on A.T.O.M./spin off show.
