ARROW Star Manu Bennett Tells Fans What They Need To Do For A DEATHSTROKE TV Series

If Manu Bennett's return to Arrow proved anything, it's that Deathstroke remains one of the show's most popular characters. Now, the actor tells fans what they need to do to make a spinoff happen.

Manu Bennett's Slade Wilson/Deathstroke made a triumphant return to Arrow in the recent season five finale, but like every other character trapped on the island when Prometheus blew it up, his fate is unknown. Before that bomb went off, we learned that Slade is once again in his right mind and back to his anti-hero status so now feels like the perfect time for the character to star in a series of his own.

That's what many fans would love to see, but Bennett has made it clear on social media that the only way to make that happen is to make your voices heard to the people in charge of the Arrowverse.

Whether or not it will happen is hard to say, especially when Deathstroke is expected to factor into The Batman movie in some way. However, there's nothing to say we couldn't see him again in either Arrow or even a show like Legends of Tomorrow. We'll just have to wait and see, but let us know your thoughts on what this version of Slade Wilson should do next in the comments section down below.

Not on CW Manu....
It's time to move on from Berlanti's shit.

They are making a Titans show, right? Try to move there as a villain, mon ami.

"@netflix" Yeah sorry, Manu, but that won't happen.
Just bring him back for Season 6.

Sidenote: Just saw Wonder Woman. It's really good. Deserves the praise.

He's the reason I even watched Arrow. But no, not sure about the need for a spin off.

Would it be partly based on the new 52 comic?

Probably just Manu rustling jimmys again, but I do like the idea of him moving to the Titans show. They may need to restructure his motivations though.

Does this mean Deathstroke is out of the films? Like how Suicide Squad worked.

@JONALOTZRH - god i hope not. Joe M has gone all quiet on that front 🤔🤔

Manu is great as Deathstroke but I really wish all of Berlanti's TV series would die and better creators would start a new DCTV universe.

@ManDeth - So you wish thousands upon thousands of people would lose their jobs just so you could enjoy tv more? Cool story bro .. I personally wouldn't use up a wish for something like that.

In seriousness though .. all this hate on CW shows is super annoying. Why not just stop watching them and stop commenting on them? Let the rest of us who enjoy the shows for what they are, enjoy it in peace.

@bigdannymac - Lose their jobs? They would be onto the next series. Like the crew from Smallville doing Arrow.

Next time you want to preach, know WTF you're talking about.

People have stopped watching the shows. The only reason they continue to exist is CW just doesn't care. Unfortunately, some very good DC characters are tied up on those shows until the Berlantiverse crap ends. He is in the way of someone else doing a better job with those characters on TV.

@ManDeth - First of all .. chill ..

Secondly .. Smallville went off the air in 2011. The crew was done with the show about 4 months before that. Arrow didn't hit tv until late 2012

Over a year and a half in between the two

Also, only about 60% of the crew (that's being generous) made the leap from Smallville to Arrow. Some actually didn't find work for almost 2 years.

So actually, I did and do know what I'm talking about.

That's only one show. You want Arrow, Flash, LoT and more to all fail so that we get new shows under new leadership and writing etc .. you honestly think all those people from like 4 or 5 shows will all just automatically get hired by a new regime of show runners and programs etc?

Think more logically .. and this wasn't supposed to be a debate, I was just making a joke about you using a "wish" .. I was being silly.

Hate on the shows all you want, WB owns the CW and they will keep those shows going as long as their is demand for them.

Arrow has vastly improved. Flash will hopefully do the same now that the flashpoint story is done. LoT has always been a decent show.

Watch it or dont .. all im saying is there are still people who enjoy it. So much so, that WB keeps it going

@bigdannymac - "WB owns the CW and they will keep those shows going as long as their is demand for them." That's the thing, there is no demand for them from a television audience. The ratings are very bad and getting worse, so the audiences they reach are very low. But CBS and WB, who own CW and produce it's shows, make money selling the network's series in package deals to others and to themselves. They have a deal with Netflix who does have a demand to fill their service with whatever they can get their hands on. Eight days after CW finales, CW's series join with the Steven Seagal and Nic Cage movies and all the other Wal-Mart $1 bin movies.

So CBS and WB have created a business model that can produce low rated, garbage TV and still make them money. That is the only reason series like Arrow still exist. If CW had to rely mostly on advertising dollars to survive it would have went under years ago.

CW Arrowverse series 2016/2017 VS 2015/2016

Arrow Season 5: 0.62 demo (-34.46%), 1.755 million overall (-29.48%)

The Flash Season 3: 1.06 demo (-22.66), 2.840 million overall (-19.58%)

Supergirl Season 2: 0.73 demo (-56.82), 2.35 million overall (-69.34)

Legends of Tomorrow Season 2: 0.64 demo, (-20.37%), 1.810 million, (-16.50)

Soooooo I think a Deathstroke T.V show centered around the villain would be awesome. Like a ninja assassin TV show. Sounds better than Gotham and Arrow.
Keep the show TVMA, and cameo a hero or villain every episode and heres the spin.... Make NightWing the good guy antagonist against Deathstroke.
It will never happen, but they would get way better ratings with a show like that.

@slickrickdesigns - it would especially never happen with their main network being the CW
