Is it better to exist in the same universe and be ignored or in a separate one and treated like a second class citizen? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet recently lashed out at Marvel Studios for not paying attention to the ABC series, and now Arrow's Willa Holland has made it clear in an interview with Mirror Online that she isn't a fan of how Warner Bros. has been treating the popular CW series.
"Marvel does it in their own weird way - the mash between Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and the movies and stuff," she said. "So it's a little upsetting because you know it is possible and it can be done and how good it would be if it was done. Basically you're giving the world two different Flashes all of a sudden." That's a valid point and it's going to be interesting to see what confusion that causes.
Back to Arrow though, and it turns out that the show was indeed forced into getting rid of their take on the Suicide Squad due to the movie happening; why two versions couldn't exist at the same time is hard to say, but the way those characters were dumped is tremendously frustrating. "We get it, we're not going to fight about it anymore. When DC found out they were going to be doing their own movie we had to axe all of the characters before we even got to show them."
"It was annoying at first and then when Stephen found out there was going to be a Justice League movie it only seemed, rightly so, he would be playing Green Arrow on it as well as Grant playing the Flash," the actress continued. "It just seemed like the right normal answer. Once they said no, you can't really fight against them for it, because they are the people that gave us a job in the first place. You just have to sit there on your hands, like okay, I get it!" What do you guys think?
While it's easy to understand where Holland is coming from, having the freedom to do what they like in Arrow and The Flash can't be that bad...well, except for the fact that it doesn't seem as if they do have that much if they're being told to kill off certain characters (this is also no doubt why Black Canary recently bit the dust) to suit the movie's whims. It's a complicated situation, that much is clear.
