Entertainment Weekly recently got an exclusive first look at Colton Haynes as Roy Harper post-Mirakuru. And with Season 3 not premiering until October 8th, this is enticing news for a number of reasons.
But first let's take a look at what EW had to breifly say about this exclusive image:

"Last season on Arrow, Roy Harper was injected with Slade’s Mirakuru serum and had to deal with all of the rage that went with it. But now that Roy is Mirakuru-free, what will season three hold for the wearer of red hoodies? For one thing, another red hoodie.

As comic-book fans know, Roy Harper sometimes goes by another name: Arsenal. And not only can EW confirm that Roy will be joining Team Arrow as a fully fledged member in season three, but here’s an exclusive first look at Colton Haynes, who plays Roy, too—in full Arsenal attire.

The Arsenal suit will make its first appearance in the first episode of season three, which returns Oct. 8 on The CW."

First off, wow. Roy Harper has always been an on and off character for me, but I'll admit im fully on board now. This Arsenal Suit goes beyond my original expectations by far.
That being said, lets break down the attire:

Big fan of the bow. While I really do admire the (Oneida Kestrel) Compound Bow  Oliver picked up in the second season, I was always a bigger fan of his traditional Recurve Bow in Season 1; originally being Yao Fei's. Now that Roy has his own Recurve Bow, I'm anxious to see how a summer of training paid out for him. Although a couple weeks of training made him look like an already-expert in the Finale.

Once I witnessed Roy Harper donning the mask for the first time during the Season 2 Finale, I had my fears that his costume would be a red versions of Oliver's. Like so:

Turns out it's the complete opposite. I really might be obsessed with the new "Arsenal" look. What makes it stand apart from Oliver's is it's creative use of buckles and lace. From rigid shoulder pads, the lace extends all the way down the arm to make the suit have the feel of a true archer. I especially enjoy the little turtleneck underneath the lowly-zipped hood. The hood also looks incredible and I'll to give credit to Colton Haynes there. The kid may be small as hell, but he's got the chiseled chin of a superhero sidekick. (I mean serioulsy he is not built enough, have you seen the classic ARROW shirtless promo of him...)
He's not a big dude.
SO TINY
It is a great look for him though. A much better costume than Deathstroke or the Ravager. Its funny because Deathstroke had a great mask, but a velcro and strappy body armor. Which i wasnt a fan of. Dont get me wrong, I loved the character. Besides the scene where you see Slade eyeless without an eyepatch. Awful CGI. And the Ravager had great armor with a bulgy mask/helmet.

But anyways I'm rabbling so let's get's back to the real f**king sweet Arsenal suit, and what it means for the next season.
"The Arsenal suit will make its first appearance in the first episode of season three, which returns Oct. 8 on The CW." With that quote in mind, I believe this picture has alot to say about Season 3's premiere and what's been going on offscreen. Well it seems clear to be that Team Arrow will be fully functioning even after the drastic changes in circumstance. Including Oliver losing the company, a second terrorist attack on Starling City led by a rage driven Mirakuru Slade Wilson, and Arrow becoming an iconic hero figure to the people of the city as well. The point im trying to make is that I believe the season premiere will show us a very together, and chemistry-driven Team Arrow. I mean the literal title of the first season 3 episode is named, "The Calm." Which means things will be seemingly perfect before they go absolutely haywire.
Stepping up to fill the new daddy Diggle's fighting shoes will be none other than Roy Harper. Laurel may not be playing the Canary, but because her position in the DAs Office will create exciting oppurtunities for Oliver and Roy. Whilst they go after the bad guys, Laurel will be putting them behind bars.
Now I don't want to get into the drama such as Roy killing the cop during the Mirakuru phase, or even the fact that he may still have lingering effects. I just want to say that the Premier of Arrow Season 3 will show us the new evolution of Team Arrow. And hopefully a good stunt double for Colton Haynes unless he plans on working out and trying his hand at some one on one combat. Like Oliver Queen, I'm guessing his name won't offically be "Arsenal" until what I'm guessing is after the Mid Season Finale. Maybe he goes off by himself in search of Thea with some unknown vendetta. And I really don't expect Oliver to be offically called "Green Arrow" in the show. Maybe one day, but the show is to wannabe dark and gritty to use color names. Such as Red Arrow. I also don't perfer Speedy to Arsenal because they way the gave the name Speedy to Thea and then tried to change it up and give it to Roy was stupid and poorly planned. What'd be really cool is if Oliver somehow rescues Thea from Merliyn at the end of this Season and turns her into a badass sidekick. A man can dream, but a man also has a lot of time to wait on. Oh well.

Here are some extra things to look foward too for Season 3 and beyond:
  1. Cyrus Gold
  2. Willa Holland working out for pure muscle for her character, Thea Queen. Who is supposed to show up later in the show.
  3. A mystery villian that will drive Season 3 with a vendetta quite like Olivers. but more extreme.
  4. Brandon Routh, the Atom.
  5. Flash/Arrow most likely Mid Season Crossovers
  6. The return of Nyssa and Sara (Who may not be a great actor, but definitely has the physique of a Superheroine.
  7. James "Bam Bam" Bamford's stunt coordination and parkour scenes. He's said he want to do a parkour scene of Oliver going through moving traffic. Should be fun.
  8. Oliver back to ruthless killing again in Hong Kong with Amanda Waller should bring back some Season 1 euphoria.
  9. The effects the Particle Accelorator may have had on Starling City
  10. Where will the new "Arrow Cave" be, and what will it look like. Maybe it'll be the sanctuary Oliver left too after Moira died.

THANKYOU EVERYONE FOR READING MY FIRST ARTICLE. I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY OPINIONS AND STUFF. Here are some images for you pleasure you animals.

A great comic picture of the Arsenal. The CW is doing a great job with accurate costumes so far. Kinda.

Seems amazing. Arrow hasn't disappointed me since the pilot.

Two things that bother me:

1. It seems to soon for Arsenal to be showing up. I remember when Bale was doing Batman Begins saying something along the lines of, "it would be ridiculous for Robin to show up now, he shouldn't be here for a few movies". Meaning there should be some years in difference. I agree with that. Ollie hasn't even become Green Arrow yet. He's still "Green", if you will.
2. To go along with my first point, Oliver is called Green Arrow yet. Are they going to immediately call him Arsenal (assuming that they do)? Why should we take that seriously if Ollie doesn't go by any name yet other than "the Arrow"? I highly doubt he will go by Speedy or Red Arrow. If he does in fact go by Red Arrow, that should mean that Ollie now goes by Green Arrow, and it loses all of its dramatic weight that I thought we were supposed to get from the season 2 finale.

Does that even make sense? I might just be rambling.

*Oliver ISN'T called Green Arrow yet.

Also, I thought Oliver was going to be called Green Arrow by the end of season 2. I thought I read that somewhere here before.

I think the secrect that Roy killed someone under the influence of Mirakuru is what may lead to Roy splitting with Oliver eventually. Going off on his own, & probably re-naming himself Red Arrow

@GliderMan It's better that they're not connected, because connecting the universes would put limits on the Arrowverse.

Imagine if they made a show about SHIELD but it wasn't connected to the MCU. They would be able to have Nick Fury and Black Widow and Hawkeye on every episode, but since it's connected to the movies, we have to watch a bunch of minor characters that were created for the show.

The same would happen to Arrow, they wouldn't be able to use any real characters.

@JimmyWhisper you're using the wrong "to" in the title. Only one o.

@Bread

So far, Arrow has been pretty careful to not use any absolute references to other superhero properties. Yes he shares some villains as Batman, but realistically Deathstroke was never going to appear in a movie soon. If he did, it'd be the same as Crossbones. I mean it's still possibly, I don't see why they don't just do it.

I'm actually less interested in the DCCU since Flash and Arrow aren't a part of it.
