New ARROW Season 6 Producer's Preview Teases What's To Come For Oliver Queen

Arrow season 6 kicks off on a new night, Thursday, October 12 at 9/8c. Who do you think survived Prometheus' parting gift on Lian Yu and what's Black Siren's connection to Richard Dragon?

Arrow executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim tease a team of villains plaguing Green Arrow and Star City (led by Richard Dragon) in season 6 but take time out to highlight Katie Cassidy's villainous Black Siren.

"There's going to be a team of villains this season but one of the biggest ones we'll see, [and] we'll see her from the beginning, is Black Siren.  We're very excited to have Katie [Cassidy] back on the show and it's a great villain because it really speaks to the emotional state of everyone on the show, particularly with respect to Oliver because it's an old friend coming back to do some evil.  So, it's going to have some resonance," teased Mericle.

For those hoping for Dinah Lance's Earth-2 counterpart to have a change of heart and join the good guys, it doesn't sound as if that's going to happen.  In fact, in the footage below, you can see Siren getting the best of the new Black Canary
Juliana Harkavy's Dinah Drake.

Arrow season 6 kicks off Thursday, October 12 at 9/8c, after Supernatural.

If they're going to kill a big character like Laurel off, CW should at least have the guts to stick with such a big decision and not bring the actress back for essentially the same role. This is why shows like TWD and Game of Thrones are King and the CW shows aren't - the former are willing to kill off big characters and make changes to the story, whilst the CW shows just keep recycling the same plot and never change the status quo of the main cast.

They killed Malcolm - boom revealed that they never did.

They killed Ray - boom revealed that they never did.

They killed Sara - boom resurrected a season later.

They crippled Felicity - boom somehow fix her spine less than half a season later.

They killed Laurel - boom never stop talking about her and bring back the actress in an Elsworld version of the character.

Come on CW - Grow a spine.

@TheGoddamnPeel - Indeed. These shows have no impact. It's really boring by now

@TheGoddamnPeel - Agreed x100. That's why NO comic book show on TV right now will ever be mentioned in the same breath as GOT, Breaking Bad, Dexter, etc.

And if they were magically able to grow Felicity a new spine in half a season, you think they'd have their own spine under control. But no, fans get all "waahhhh" when you kill a main character so they bring them back for ratings.
