There's plenty of action and excitement brewing over the CW's four night superhero crossover next week, with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow all set to team up to take on the villainous alien Dominators. While the main selling point of the event has been the inclusion of Supergirl, Arrow's section of the crossover will also be its 100th episode, something the show plans to celebrate in the narrative while still contributing to the overarching story.

“It is such a radical departure from anything that we have ever done on the show," star Stephen Amell told TV Line. "We utilize the fantastical elements that we bring in on The Flash and carry through to Legends of Tomorrow with the present-day storyline to create something that is not a flashback [or] a flash-forward. It’s something else entirely.”

Those fantastical elements come in to play when Oliver - for an unexplained reason - wakes up to a life where he never boarded The Queen's Gambit. Several characters are also set to make their "return" from the grave, including his parents, Robert and Moira Queen (Jamey Sheridan and Susanna Thompson) and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), who Oliver is set to marry.

Amell says this mysterious new reality “gives us license to do whatever we want…and to show some things that we’ll never be able to show, to have some characters interact that will never be able to interact on the show again – probably.” Amell also teased that Oliver will finally gain some emotional closure with several of his loved ones. “There [is] a very therapeutic moment for my character towards the end [of the episode] where I get to say goodbye to people that I never got the chance to say goodbye to.”

Arrow's 100th episode will air on November 30th. Are you excited to see the show hit a milestone like this? Let us know in the comments.

ARROW CELEBRATES 100 EPISODES; THE EPIC SUPERHERO CROSSOVER CONTINUES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen’s Gambit. Robert (guest star Jamey Sheridan) and Moira Queen (guest star Susanna Thompson) are alive and well. Laurel (guest star Katie Cassidy) is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent. Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and the recruits take on a new threat with help from The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist). James Bamford directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and written by Marc Guggenheim & Wendy Mericle.

I had the pleasure of meeting Stephen this past weekend. He's an extremely nice guy who's heavily focused on his fans.
The passion and excitement that he had in his eyes when asked about the 100 was refreshing to see.
I immediately knew this would be a not to miss episode.

Greatest episode 100 in a comic book series imo. (also it may be the only one haha. Arrow has truly reached a milestone)

Hard to top. Emotional rollercoaster.
