Will A Small Screen JUSTICE LEAGUE Assemble At The End Of ARROW's Third Season?

Highlights from Stephen Amell's panel at NYCC include hints that Laurel will become The Canary sooner rather than later, news on Malcolm Merlyn's return, details on the biggest fight scene the show has ever done and that there's a reason The CW are introducing so many costumed heroes...

Bleeding Cool were at Stephen Amell's panel at the New York Comic Con yesterday where he addressed over 1000 Arrow fans eager to hear more from the actor about what's to come in season three. According to the site, Amell talked about the recent [WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD] death of Sara and apparently dropped, "more hints that Laurel may soon take up the mantle." The Arrow will apparently come face to face with Malcolm Merlyn in the third episode of The CW drama, and the ninth - which is the Fall finale - will end on a big cliffhanger which, "features the longest fight scene they have had on the show, a sword fight for which Oliver is shirtless the entire time." As you can probably imagine, that was met with big cheers from those in attendance! However, perhaps the biggest reveal came when Amell was asked about the sudden increase of heroes in this world, something which the actor responded by saying, "that the number of heroes would be important in the resolution of Season 3." Could it be that we'll see a small screen Justice League assemble? My guess would be yes, but we're just going to have to wait and see.

Haven't watched the show in months but I'd see this episode if it happens.

Batman #244: “The Demon Lives Again! A classic shirtless Batman vs. Ra’s Al Ghul duel to the death! Seriously Arrow writers?

That shirtless fight scene sounds so damn exciting i can't wait...

Wait a minute, thought this was Green Arrow and not "Batman".

I'm sure "shirtless sword fight" says it all.

Is Arrow using the Lazarus pit on this one like batman in the cartoon to heal from injury, reminds me of the 90s batman cartoon.

However it's put together, it's only logical that Oliver would be at the forefront. Though you would expect it to happen on Flash given recent comments.

I have to give credit to where it's due that at least Dinah Laurel Lance will finally become Black Canary which is something i've been waiting for ever since Arrow started.

I am slightly interested in this small screen Justice League and i want to see how it all plays out, although i am going to miss Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from the team.

I like the show but the previous seasons fight scenes haven't looked very good. They could do a lot better in that area.

Who cares about a handful of similarities to Batman? The chances of ever seeing this scene between Bruce and Ra's in a movie is somewhere between slim and none, so why not let Arrow put their own spin on things?

@JoshWilding

Because they've clearly been taking more inspiration from Batman than Green Arrow's comics. Just look at his personality and the tone of the show.

@Rulk Sorry, but that's an idiotic. I'd rather get the weekly TV shows which give us about 20+ hours of quality content rather than a 2hr30min that comes out every 2-3 years.
