Season 2 of The Flash ended in a jaw-dropping fashion, with Barry deciding to travel back in time to stop the Reverse Flash from murdering his mother. Fans know that this led to the world-altering events of Flashpoint in the comic books, where Barry's actions created a timeline with apocalypse-level consequences. While the show hasn't explicitly confirmed an adaptation of Flashpoint for its third season, Barry's decision will no doubt result in some form of the story making its way to the small screen. But will this story cross over to the other CW shows? Arrow star Stephen Amell weighed in on the possibility of a "Flashpoint" event changing the Green Arrow's world for the shows upcoming fifth season. "I don't know," Amell told Comicbook.com in an interview. "I do know that we’ve done a lot of work on Arrow to introduce the other shows, for lack of a better term, and now that that’s all done, we’re focused on doing the things that we do well for Season 5."

Amell maintained that he'd like to see the show go back to basics for its fifth season. "Yes, that's exactly right. Arrow is at its best when we’re dealing with problems in Star City. We’re not a time-travel show, we’re not a multi-Earth show, though obviously [we do that] with crossovers and stuff like that. We’re Arrow, we deal with Star City, and I feel like we’ll be better off focusing on that." Given the incredibly poor reception to Arrow's season finale, it might be wise for the showrunners to consider Amell's wishes. However, it's hard to imagine The Flash not incorporating the other shows into its new plot somehow.

Do you want to see a crossover on the CW based on the events of Flashpoint? Sound off below!

If they do Flashpoint on Flash, it will really make so sense for Arrow not to be completely changed. At the very least, an explanation has to be established.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - It'll be weird, but I could see them keeping it a "self-contained" timeline. Barry will be stuck in that timeline and unable to escape until the evnts are fixed.

I dunno....makes things difficult for crossovers unless the crossovers are done specifically within the Flash. Robert Queen as Green Arrow, Supergirl kept within a prison like Superman was in Flashpoint.

Meh. Who knows? Lol

@MattBellissimo

Article on Bleeding Cool. Rumor is Season 5 is basically Daredevil Season 2 with a Punisher like character.

Also Joker's back tats.

I haven't seen the finale for Arrow yet, but from what I understand...people weren't happy.

As a longtime Green Arrow fan, I could go on and on about how far this show is from the source material. Where are Ollie's liberal rantings? Where's his famous spicy chili he's always pushing on people? Where's his beard? Where's his awesome trick arrows? It really feels like Uncle Guggie is trying to make this his own show that just happens to have some comic characters.

They really need a better villain next season. Merlyn and Deathstroke were amazing. I was kinda okay with Ra's al Ghul, but Damien Darhk just did not work this season.

What sucks is that they already wasted some of Green Arrow's villains as side characters.

China White is implied in Year One to control the drug trade across the entire Pacific Ocean. There's an entire season trying to break that apart.

Count Vertigo is the ruler of a fictional country. Make him like Doctor Doom, where he has an entire nation's worth of resources and military at his disposal. As well, he would have diplomatic immunity in Star City, meaning they would have to depend on vigilantes. There's a season right there. Heck, how awesome would the season finale be if Team Arrow had to infiltrate his country/castle?

Komodo is a huge part of the massive Outsiders War story arc. Not only would that tie back in with Robert Queen and the island, but they already introduced Katana on this show. There's a season right there.

And too bad they killed off Shado, cause now they can't properly adapt Longbow Hunters.
