The affects of the coronavirus are still being felt in the worlds of both film and television as Batwoman and Supergirl are the latest TV shows to be pulled by The CW. Yesterday, we told you about Supernatural no longer being on the air because there's no one to complete the visual effects, and it appears the same can now be said for these superheroes.
Spoiler TV has confirmed the news that both of this weekend's episodes are being replaced with repeats, and though they fail to elaborate on why, it isn't too difficult to figure out!
Up until now, Sunday's episode of Batwoman was going to be titled "A Narrow Escape." Supergirl, meanwhile, was to be "Deux Lex Machina." Now, the former is a repeat of "A Mad Tea-Party," and the latter will be "Back From The Future - Part Two." The network hasn't release an official statement, but the episodes being unfinished is the most likely cause of these unexpected delays.
The Flash is likely next, but work on Legends of Tomorrow's current season is thought to be completed.
This is probably going to be the new norm for all our favourite TV shows in future, and The CW has yet to reveal whether the final episodes of these will air over the summer or in the fall.
Hollywood has come to a halt, however, so we don't even know what the plan is for their next seasons!
