Yet Another DC Comics Property Is Heading To Television; DMZ
Former Mad Men producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton, along with Harry Potter and Gravity producer David Heyman, are teaming up to Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli's DMZ to the small screen.
Deadline reports that former Mad Men executive producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton have teamed up with Gravity producer David Heyman for a new drama series based on the DC comic book DMZ at Syfy. According to the site, it's "set in the near future and centers on a young man trapped in Manhattan, which has been turned into a demilitarized zone (DMZ) after a second American civil war." The husband and wife duo have written the pilot. The Vertigo comic book series ran for a total of 72 issues between 2005 and 2012. It sounds like an intriguing premise, and with such a quality team behind it (David Heyman will produce), it's definitely another reason to be excited about DC's television takeover! How do you guys feel about this news?
