My theory of the Joker in Gotham season 5 series finale
My speculation on what kind of a Joker we are getting in the Gotham finale. Spoilers for the season 5 of Gotham (episodes that are out so far).

With the Gotham coming to an end, we are getting the actual Joker in the season 5 finale. We've already seen the leaked images of Cameron Monaghan's look as the baddie. We also recently saw his classic origins of falling into chemicals at Ace chemicals. Even though he have actually seen this characters origin story unfolding since season 1. Here are my two key notes on how I think the character should be handeled in the supposed epiloge scene of the last episode.
Schrödinger's Valeska
My main though from episode 7 is, that once Jeremiah wakes after accident, he is a somewhat amnesiac. He still remembers the past but not clearly; he can no longer remember which brother he actually is, Jerome or Jeremiah. He remembers their deeds and personalities, but neither is 100% him. This way show writers and Cameron Monaghan could combine best elements of both Jerome and Jeremiah, the "proto-jokers", to the final version. Also with this, like in the comics, Joker's past would be multiple choice for himself.
"Darling"
Maybe Joker doesn't remember Bruce that clearly either anymore. Jeremiah's obsession still excists, but he doesn't remember the name or the face of this person clearly anymore. Once he sees Batman for the first time, the obsession latches on to him. Because subconsciesly he recognizes the same mannerisms that he saw in Bruce. This way we would have a Joker with well built obsession over Batman, yet he wouldn't know who Batman is. This would work also, if Bruce acts as Bruce Wayne in public life as he does in the comics. Hiding his true self. Joker wouldn't recognize him as Bruce, only as Batman.
