KRYPTON Teaser Trailer Gives Us Our First Look At Life On Superman's Home Planet

Syfy has released the first promo for Krypton and it offers a look at both Superman's homeworld during its glory days and the characters who populate it. Does the Man of Steel's grandfather look super?

The first promo has been released for Krypton and it offers a look at both the planet Kal-El once called home and the characters who populated it. The show is set two generations before the destruction of the Man of Steel’s home planet and it follows Superman’s grandfather - whose House of El was ostracized and shamed - as he fights to redeem his family’s honour and save his world from chaos.

Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe, Georgina Campbell, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Aaron Pierre, Ian McElhinney, and Shaun SIpos and is executive produced by David S. Goyer.

This trailer doesn't reveal a huge amount about what's to come in the series but the special effects look surprisingly great even if the characters come across as being a little bland. Say what you will about Goyer but Man of Steel's Krypton set scenes were awesome and hopefully he'll have brought some of that to the table in Krypton! What do you think of this teaser? I can't believe I lived long enough to see WB and DC become the villain.
Stop. Please just stop.

The feeling I get is that this show will suck. I always trust my gut. It hasn’t let me down yet.

When a ten second teaser looks better than the entire run of Inhumans.

@Oberlin4Prez - It does LOOK cinematic, but yet the little bits of dialogue we get and few shots of people just make it SOUND like, well, every other story about a bunch of teens trying to prove they're relevant -- which is an angle I think started (ironically) w/Smallville, no?

Are they actually ever going to commit to saying if this is in the DCEU or not? Goyer as creator says it is but no one else is really backing it up or dismissing it.

@MrDandy - If it is, that means Hawkman and Brainiac are part of the movies! Woohoo!

Every episode and i mean EVERY EPISODE needs us thinking the planet is gonna explode via big red button, reactor core overload, space nukes but it doesn't happen

Then by the last episode we're all like where's the tease and bam Eric the intern forgot to turn off the space microwave
