With the season six premiere just around the corner, The CW has released a new extended trailer for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which seriously ups the weird as the lovable bunch of misfits find themselves up against an alien invasion while getting into all kinds of trouble.

Based on the new trailer, fans can expect some nasty aliens, a wild west episode, a singing competition show parody, an episode at a fast-food establishment, a Disney-inspired animated episode, and some other things that are too strange to even describe.

This Sunday's premiere will see the Legends discover that Sara (Caity Lotz) has been abducted as they pull together all of their resources to find her. While Rory (Dominic Purcell) and Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) track down a lead, John Constantine (Matt Ryan) takes matters into his own hands and uses his magic to locate Sara. Elsewhere, Ava (Jes Macallan), Nate (Nick Zano), Zari (Tala Ashe), and Astra (Olivia Swann) work to stop a bunch of aliens that they'll presumably realize that Sara has released into the timeline in a last-ditch effort to help them find her location.

@dracula - I think I saw his great great granddaughter, Jinny Hex in the promo. Another Bendis creation.

Since when did this show become doctor who on steroids? I haven't watched since season two but I feel I may be missing out.

@Oberlin4Prez - About season 3 they said [frick] it to the CW tween cape drama formula and just leaned into the absurdities of the medium. They had an entire episode where a Tickle-Me-Elmo doll became a Viking God.

Looks like this is where all the Supernatural money is going towards.

I haven't watched a CW show since Crisis ended. I used to love Legends but I just don't care about this universe anymore.

Actually I'm watching Superman and Lois, that's different enough but just barely.

This trailer, while being almost too Rick and Morty levels of random, does look good. Hmmm.

Is Legends worth catching up on Post Crisis?

This show may not be as good as Agents of Shield, but it similarly learned how to reinvent itself over time. It remains the most consistently entertaining of the Arrowverse

They should seriously cut the seasons down for all these shows and refresh them like Superman and Lois. With less episodes they have more money to spend on each. No one wants 22 episodes of anything anymore. It’s too long.

I stopped watching after a few seasons because it was just another CW show back then. Guess I should've stuck around, because this doesn't look like that at all anymore

@bkmeijer - Season 1 was the standard CW superhero show. Now it's Doctor Who / Rick & Morty and it's totally bonkers. I love it.

I'm not gonna lie, Legends of Tomorrow becoming Doctor Who on crack was the best thing that could have happened!
