LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: The Legends Do What They Do Best In A New Promo For The Show's Return Next Month

The Legends have been off for way too long and in three weeks, they return to our small screens to do what they do best and save the timeline from all kinds of magical beasts - which as we all know by now, doesn't always go according to plan.

While the new promo is light on new footage, there are a few shots of what's to come and it does look plenty exciting as all of our favorite time bandits band together with John Constantine (Matt Ryan) to stop their biggest threat yet.

"Lucha de Apuestas" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV)

TBD (#409). Original airdate 04/01/2019.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with "Fugitives" - magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone's favorite demonologist to set history back on track.

While I am very excited to have Legends return, its absence has really been felt, I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that this promo seems like more of the same from this season (from the promo, it looks like an episode will be revisiting a lot of the big moments from the season, which we've actually already done). Hopefully they are just tricking us by not showing us any of the Constantine centric plot footage, because the last two episodes of this season indicated that we would finally be focusing on the threat of Nero and... well this promo indicates otherwise.

Typical Legends promo but I don't think they are going to revisit or even make a "meta" episode, the next one is called "Lucha de Apuestas" or something like that which points to some Mexican wrestling magical fugitive plot. I just hope it ties up with Neron and the mystery of Project Hades, if not then it'll count as just a filler episode.

It should return earlier though, Black Lightning ends next week and the next Monday after that, the 25th, it could be Legends' time to return. Maybe if the Black Lightning S2 finale was a three-parter it would be but it isn't.

Can't wait in any case.
