Over the holidays, we asked you all to weigh in with your thought on 2022's best superhero TV show. To do so, you simply had to cast your vote in a poll, and we can now share what ComicBookMovie.com's readers decided was the best - and worst - the year had to offer when it comes to this ever-growing genre on the small screen.
Thousands of you made your voices heard from all over the world, and the results make for fascinating reading.
While Marvel Studios continued to expand the MCU this year on Disney+, it was HBO Max's Peacemaker that you singled out as 2022's best comic book/superhero TV show with a resounding 34.48% of the vote. The Boys season 3 was nipping at its heels with 24.76%, but The Suicide Squad spin-off was the clear winner here.
In terms of the MCU's best offering, you chose Moon Knight (24.76%), with Netflix's The Sandman (13.52%) in fourth place and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (5%) rounding out the top five.
Superman & Lois season 2 (3.67%) and Ms. Marvel (3.48%) were the best of the rest, and we then had a big drop to a whole host of DC TV shows (aside from Dark Horse's The Umbrella Academy) with the runners up including Titans season 4 (1.29%), Stargirl season 3 (1.24%), the aforementioned Netflix series (1.14%), Harley Quinn season 3 (0.81%), Doom Patrol season 4 (0.71%), Pennyworth season 3 (0.24%), Naomi (0.19%), and Disney+'s Baymax! (0.05%).
It's great to see a show like Peacemaker in first place, and with a second season in the works, this result bodes well for the series moving forward. While we don't know what the DCU will look like under DC Studios' purview, here's hoping James Gunn plans to continue telling Christopher Smith's story on the small screen for many years to come.
"Peacemaker quickly establishes itself as essential viewing for fans of The Suicide Squad," we said in our review earlier this year, "but it's a career-best performance from John Cena and the greatest opening credits of all time that will make sure you want to come back each week."
