This was a good episode.
Loved getting into Kara's head like that.
Granted, I'm getting a little tired of them teasing us with Henshaw's glowing red eyes.

Red Tornado looked like Andy Dick in a Jessica Rabbit dress. But I loved how his hands created the tornadoes. I was worried how that would look. Not bad at all. All he needs is an upgrade to his costume.

The costume was shit, but the powers were cool.

I'm sorry... but this show has probably the dumbest writers on television today. I heard that this ep was really good so I gave it a shot and what does the opening scene go anddo to any potential future excitement, well it flat out demolished it. How does any human with a functioning brain write that opening car chase scene and think, wow this is good. All of humanity hate children and being saved and also love assholesgetting what they deserve. this will be great!!! like huh?

After that I barely coninued watching but I had to see how Tornado was going to be intruduced. What I saw after that test fight scene with Tornado just killed this show for me for all eternity. How was it that a deadly android trying to hurt Kara got his ass whooped and flew off to be a threat to humanity ended up being Kara's fault??? how? A) she didn't [frick]ing build it. B)they forced her to fight it C)did I mention how horrifing the writing is? that actress deserves better.

damn this writing sucks..why does avery episode compare her to superman and why is everything her fault. can't the people in this show think logically?

I only caught some of the fight scene between Kara-El & Red Tornado, While Gotham was on commercial break. It was great, And Supergirl with all those emotions beaming the shit out of him was awesome!

Everything is Supergirl's fault because General Lane is a xenophobe. He wouldn't be Sam Lane if he didn't blame the alien.

This show needs new writers asap. Their current writers have no clue how to write a cohesive, engaging story. They have no idea how human nature or the government works. It only took a minute to find this: http://work.chron.com/resign-army-officer-commission-29124.html
Procedure for resigning an Officer commission in the US Army. You can't just tell your daddy you quit. This is just one of many very ignorantly written events in this show.

My family tried watching it again last night, but quit after the fight with Red Tornado and the whole laughable "blame Supergirl" bit. The show is just so horribly forced, and the whole pseudo-feminist angle is downright insulting. "Is being a nigh-invincible super being enough to overcome the fact that she's a *girl*?"

It would be one thing if she had suddenly come into powers after being meek her whole life, but she grew up invincible, pretty, white, affluent... How many [frick]ing advantages does she need to succeed in the face of sexism in the year 2015?

This episode was great because of the scenes between Cat and Supergirl. Really touches upon real issues. I wanna see more of the angry side of Kara, it reminds me of Henry Cavill. Damn, even one scene with Henry Cavill in this would be Superb.

Yeah I actually really liked when she got angry while laser eying RT down.

Yea the writing on this show is flat out terrible. The opening scene made no sense at all. She saves children from getting ran over by 2 assholes racing each other and one of the dummies actually swings at her. She blocks it and hurts his hand and the news reports that she hurt a civilian and no one acknowledges the fact she saved the kids lives and was just defending herself. Smh! Red Tornado's costume was power ranger cheesy, I mean just awful. It looked like styrofoam. When Maxwell Lord picked up the broken arm it looked like it was lighter than a feather. That's some advanced tech right there lol. Then they force Kara to fight it and she beats it, but because she beats it, it decides to go rogue and target civilians. The military blames her for this why? They made her fight it, they built it & programmed it and didn't prepare for a scenario where it could potentially hurt people. The writers are just lazy and everything feels so out of place and unbelievable. I gave this one a chance but even Gotham was better than this when it first started.

My favorite part of the episode is when the government tests a wmd near a major city. No, no...when the general fires the guy who made it before its recovered with a congressional hearing. Wait, no....when the wmd targets the nearby major city and the general in charge goes out to dinner with his daughter to trash her boyfriend instead of heading up a massive armed response. That's the one

I love this show, I just never thought in my dreams that we could ever have a show like this.

And Melissa Benoist is great in the Supergirl role. Props to her for her amazing work!

Monday's episode good, and her performance is getting better. Wish they had done a better job with Tornado, but like someone said above, the Fx were decent enough. Is going to be sick, when Superman and Supergirl team up, to fight the rest of the Kryptonians in some future episode. I'm sure they are saving this for season two, or when the boat starts to sink.
