SUPERGIRL TV Series Gets ARROW & THE FLASH Casting Director

Perhaps not too surprisingly, frequent Greg Berlanti collaborator David Rapaport has announced via Twitter that he'll also be handling casting for the upcoming CBS Supergirl series.

We recently found out that a Supergirl television series had landed a series commitment at CBS, and that it would be coming from Arrow and The Flash producer Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family). Now it seems that, despite being on a different network to those other 2 DC superhero shows, Berlanti has once again turned to casting director David Rapaport to find our new small-screen Kara Zor-El and her supporting characters, whoever they may wind up being.

Despite Rapaport casting all three shows, it's not expected that Supergirl will be a part of the same TV universe as Arrow and The Flash (though some crossover might be a possibility), but fans seem to have taken to Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin in their roles so young Kara would appear to be in good hands at least. Here's a brief synopsis for the show.

The series will follow Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian girl who’s been hiding her powers here on Earth, but decides to embrace her powers, and become the hero she was always meant to be.”
