CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Behind-The-Scenes Photo Reveals First Look At Tom Cavanagh As Pariah & Ryan Choi

Thanks to a new group photo, which features a number of the biggest heroes set to appear in Crisis on Infinite Earths, we have our very first look at Tom Cavanagh as Pariah and Osiric Chau as Ryan Choi...

Ever since the first crossover The Flash and Arrow, The CW has made it an annual tradition to gather all of their heroes for one massive adventure, but this December the network will air its most ambitious crossover yet, Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Like the comic books of the same name, this crossover will unite numerous heroes from various realities in an effort to fend off the Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett), including heroes some fans thought we’d never see again like Smallville’s Clark Kent (Tom Welling).

However, this upcoming event will also introduce viewers to some brand-new characters, and thanks to a new behind-the-scenes photo, we have our first look at two of these characters: Pariah and Ryan Choi.

As you can see in the image below, Tom Cavanagh is sporting a costume that's nearly identical to the character's appearance in the comic. Meanwhile, it appears Osric Chau's Ryan Choi still hasn't adopted the Atom mantle, as he's still dressed in civvies.

Took surprisingly long for someone to make this article. That photo has been circling comment sections here for days.

Also, this pic looks awesome. So hyped for this.

So anyone else hear that DC trying to replace all their heroes in the comics?

@Kevwebsz - It happens every decade or so.

@Kevwebsz - Yeah haha younger, more diverse, etc etc

@Kevwebsz - Apparently aside from Superman, who's getting replaced by his son who will be aged up for the 2nd time this year rather than just using Connor Kent (who's already age appropriate!), everyone else will be replaced with a rando.

@Kevwebsz - They've done it before in the comics,
Superman: the 4 supermen
Batman: Azrael
Wonder Woman: Artemis
Hal Jordan: Kyle Rayner
Barry Allen: Wally West
If its actually going to happen, it wont be permenent, and eventually everyone will be back, at the most id say it will take 2 years at the most for all the a list characters to be back to their roles. Maybe 1 or 2 replacements will stick around, but its not going to be any of the major Leaguers

It seriously looks like they're gonna kill Ray immediately to make room for Routh just playing Superman.

I'm all for seeing Routh come back as Supes. But considering he's leaving after Crisis, it would feel kinda cheap if they just push Ray aside after 5 years in the Arrowverse, for a character Routh played over 10 years ago.

@Kurne - I think it’s more than likely that they are just filming the Superman stuff first, Routh has put up some Palmer tech photos too. I mean it must be a logistical nightmare filming these crossovers anyway never mind having to play two characters in one

@Kurne - Would be cool to have Superman for a few episodes of Legends Of Tomorrow, but yeah hopefully they don't just kill Ray off in Crisis, seems likely Ryan Choi will replace him, and it would be nice to see Ray mentor him for a little

Pariah looks very good there, Tom Cavanagh is gonna be working as much as he did in Crisis on Earth-X as Harry and Thawne. I wonder if he's also gonna play RF along with Pariah and the new un-named Wells.

Harbinger as well.

Black Lightning's suit looks a little different here but still awesome.

Can't wait for more BTS group pics to come out.

@Kurne -

I don't think they will kill Ray Palmer because the show writers have said he (and Nora Darhk) are
being written out of the show with a happy ending and the potential to return down the road
to see how their lives changed after leaving the Waverider.

There is another BTS photo Brandon Routh just posted showing him back at Palmer Industries in
a business suit.

I believe Ray Palmer will return to Palmer Industries with Nora to repair his reputation that was
damaged when the Negron possessed Palmer tried to use a Demon app to harvest millions of souls
last season of Legends.

Somehow he will pass the torch to Choi who will be his "temp" stand-in during the Crisis.
Palmer will return for Legends season 5 post Crisis episodes and wrap up his and Nora's
storyline before Choi becomes his full-time replacement.

I could see Ray wanting to go back to the original mission he had to rebuild Star City after
Slade Wilson blew up much of the city. This time with Oliver Queen "Dead" Ray could see
that the city needs someone who can pick up the mantle of "Leading citizen" in Star City
while the canaries pick up the slack for Oliver on the vigilante end.

Overall looks great. I am impressed that Pariah’s outfit is so comic accurate. Routh’s muscles look like they have wrinkles, though.

Has it been confirmed if we're getting alternate Diggle - John Stewart I this crossover, cause that's what I really want, they've hinted at it so [frick]ing much and with Arrow in it's final season, this would be the perfect opportunity.

@Punchline - lol huh?

@Fishandchips -

Not outright confirmed, but David Ramsey did speak at SDCC about the Green Lantern possibilities
hopefully playing out and that fans would likely be very happy about it.

I think its very telling that John Diggle on the Wave Rider is not suited up in his Spartan gear.

Why would he not be? Especially since everybody else in the photo (besides Iris) is a superpowered
alien, metahuman or tech user?

Sometimes I forget that Routh was cast as Superman in a multi-million dollar movie. Of course he's going to look perfect as the character.
