The Flash's farewell tour just got a little more jam-packed as Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Rick Cosnett ("Eddie Thawne"), Matt Letscher ("Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash"), and Jessica Parker Kennedy ("Nora West-Allen/XS") will all return for the upcoming ninth and final season.

Further details are being kept under wraps, but it seems as though each actor will appear in a different episode to help set the stage for the show's epic conclusion.

They join a huge returning guest cast, which will also feature Jesse L. Martin ("Joe West"), Sendhil Ramamurthy ("Dr. Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork"), Richard Harmon ("Owen Mercer/Captain Boomerang"), Javicia Leslie ("Ryan Wilder/Batwoman"; "Red Death"), Nicole Maines ("Nia Nal/Dreamer"), Stephen Amell ("Oliver Queen/Green Arrow"), David Ramsey ("John Diggle/Spartan"), and Keiynan Lonsdale ("Wally West/Kid Flash").

Additionally, it's been revealed that series regulars Danielle Panabaker and Kayla Compton will helm episodes nine and eleven, respectively. It will be the fifth episode Panabaker has directed and the first for Compton, who will be making her television directorial debut.

Plus, here's the description for episode three:

"Rogues of War" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

ON THE MOVE - Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) start to put together the pieces of what's happening in Central City and believe they know what the Rogues are after. Team Flash works together and recruits some unlikely allies to help, and the plan does not go as Team Flash expects. Meanwhile, Allegra (Kayla Compton) does her best to avoid having a conversation with Chester (Brandon McKnight). Brenton Spencer directed the episode with story by Sam Chalsen and written by Jeff Hersch & Jess Carson (#903). Original airdate 2/22/2023.

The main cast of The Flash season nine features Grant Gustin ("Barry Allen/The Flash"), Candice Patton ("Iris West-Allen"), Danielle Panabaker ("Dr. Caitlin Snow"), Danielle Nicolet ("Cecile Horton"), Kayla Compton ("Allegra Garcia"), Brandon McKnight ("Chester P. Runk"), and Jon Cor ("Mark Blaine/Chillblaine").

Not gonna lie, that suit is pretty good.

That Flash bad Halloween costume still cracks me up.

@StSteven is probably running around like Sheldon Cooper in that costume right now.

@DocSpock - No no no, I said I was going to run around and flash people. Sunday is Flash costume day. I'll share my Outlook calendar with you so we can avoid these misunderstandings in the future.

took them this long for them to do The Rogues (doesnt even ensure it will be proper rogues)

If this was the first 3 or 4 seasons, id care

too little too late now

most of the rogues you want to see together are dead or were just badly adapted

@dracula - It's a damn shame they wasted most of the Flash's main rogues in the first three seasons.

They killed off Captain Cold, Heatwave's with the Legends, Weather Wizard showed up a few times for the first season and was completely forgotten about, Trickster 2 was annoying as hell, Captain Boomerang was in the Flash v Arrow special and I think that's about it, Golden Glider showed up once and then disappeared for the rest of the series, Rainbow Raider was treated like ass and was Rainbow Raider in name only (he's my favorite Flash rogue). The only rogue that they really did something with is Pied Piper (my second favorite Flash rogue).

What I'm getting is that Red Death introduces herself in the final scenes of 9x01 to make things clear to Team Flash and, IMO, the Rogues who are working with/for her that she is calling the shots and isn't meant to be crossed with.

Barry being stressed that a new speedster is out there with little info from + dealing in the pictures of what must be whatever happened to Caitlin in S8's closing moments.

"Hear No Evil" tbh makes me believe that Pied Piper will show up as it was hinted in the trailer.

Joe probably is concerned about Cecile's telekinetic powers.

Love the Flash suit picture!

It's nice to have those OG actors back.

BTW the showrunner gave an interview where he teased some things. (While also sadly confirming it won't be possible to see a certain foreshadowed character, dang it)

@NinnesMBC - I'm still annoyed by them making batwoman red death. Barry barely even knows her. It would've been so much better had they gone with Oliver, who's basically in the role batman served in the arrowverse.

And before anyone says "you just don't like black gay women", this would still be a problem had they gone with the arrowverse Bruce Wayne.

@Origame - Oliver was rougher and jaded but not even then was part of the Bat Family, he wouldn't have transitioned to be a better hero into being Green Arrow.

There's some familiarity from Armageddon at least and that is from where they'll build it. And you know how DC/WBD or whoever really makes the calls are when it comes to sharing their precious cash cow character. TV never can use him with the cowl but they sure can greenlit TWO feature films with him and not worry audiences won't be able to tell the difference. It's an established hypocritical behaviour from them.

If they weren't like that obviously we would have Warren Christie reprise his role as Bruce, but this is the other option: using an actual character in the franchise that is part of the Bat Fam.

I'll give them credit. Despite the wavering quality of the show the suit continues to improve.

It seems I'm in the minority here, but I think this is by far the best Flash suit we've seen in live action.
