The Flash returned to The CW last November with the five-part "Armageddon" event, wrapping up on December 14 and going on hiatus until next month. Now, the small screen Scarlet Speedster is finally set to return on March 9 with an episode titled "Impulsive Excessive Disorder."
To mark the occasion, a new poster for the show has been released that puts the spotlight on Grant Gustin's Barry Allen. His costume, while not quite as eye-catching as the one worn by Ezra Miller in this November's The Flash movie, has made a lot of fans very happy and does look great in action.
Last month, we learned that Gustin is close to signing up for a 15-episode ninth season. That would make it the shortest episode of The Flash to date, and it's been widely speculated that it will end the show (Arrow's final season consisted of only ten episodes). Either way, the actor has reportedly secured a $200,000 per episode deal, so he might want to consider sticking around a little longer!
"Picking up where season 7 left off, after returning home from a visit for their parent’s vow renewal," reads the synopsis for the next episode, "Bart (guest star Jordan Fisher) and Nora (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy) quickly realize that things are not exactly as they left them. The duo race to repair any fissures in the timeline and restore everything back to the way it is supposed to be."
As noted, The Flash season 8 returns to The CW on Wednesday, March 9.
