Mark Hamill Returns As The Trickster In Stills And Synopsis For THE FLASH Season 3, Episode 9: "The Present"

We got a BTS glimpse of Mark Hamill's new Joker-inspired take on The Trickster via some set pics a while back, but now we have our first official look at the actor alongside John Wesley Shipp's Jay Garrick...

As we all know, Mark Hamill has appeared as The Trickster in earlier seasons of The Flash, but in these new promo stills he's definitely looking more like another DC supervillain he's closely associated with: The Joker.

The character is listed as James Jesse, and is therefore almost certainly the Earth-3 version of The Trickster, who can be seen here facing off with John Wesley Shipp's incarnation of Jay Garrick.

Check out the pics below, along with a synopsis for the December 6 episode of The Flash, "The Present."

BARRY SEEKS HELP FROM JAY GARRICK — With Alchemy and Savitar still looming threats, Barry (Grant Gustin) is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp). Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he’s been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which doesn’t go over well with Barry. As Cisco (Carlos Valdes) faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), old wounds are reopened.

Things like this makes me think Luke will barely have scenes in upcoming Star Wars movies. Which sucks.

@ODanil - I hope that's not the case. I imagine he does The Flash on his down time from Star Wars, and then goes back on set when he's done. As far as I recall, he has only been in one Flash episode each season. So that gives him plenty of time for Star Wars.

This will be the best live action personification of Joker of 2016.

@TheSoulEater - I like Leto's performance. But yeah. There's no beating Hamill.

@AMrSundayGirl58 -

It didn't rub me the right way, and I understand he didn't have allot of time to steal our hearts in, but even in the now released extended addition...the version of Joker that he personifies...I think is ill fitting. Further it has nothing to do with looks for me, I'm fine with his gator jacket, mobster , tattoo'd self...it's his presence, how he comes off...as like the guy in a prison you don't make eye contact with mixed with a coke addict....not a comedian, not the joker, not terrifying in the right way. He's creepy as fuik, but he seems to only be interested in being boundary pushing and edgy rather than JOKER.

But hey, that's me. He's a great actor either way.

Oh, it should last at least half the episode. I want to cherish the moment, as he's pumpin' that sweet puss.
