We've seen a lot of promos for the upcoming DC TV crossover which kicks off in next Monday's episode of Supergirl, but The CW has now released a brand new full-length trailer which sheds some light on the plot and also offers up lots of great action and iconic imagery such as the scene you see above.

The trailer reveals that The Dominators want to wipe out Earth's metahumans before they become an even bigger threat to them, while there are plenty of intriguing shots of heroes aboard their spacecraft and a few glimpses at some apparent time travel shenanigans in Arrow's upcoming 100th episode.

What do you guys think of this trailer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

IT’S HEROES VS. ALIENS IN THIS EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT — When aliens called the Dominators attack Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) speeds over to Star City to ask the Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in stopping them. Realizing the battle against the Dominators is bigger than they thought, they track down the Legends of Tomorrow, and Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) create a breach to bring back a secret weapon – Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist). Once all of the super friends are assembled, they come up with a plan to attack but a shocking secret related to Flashpoint is revealed and suddenly no one is sure who they can trust. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to join the battle against the aliens but Iris (Candice Patton) tells him he’s not ready. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

I don't usually complain about Felicity, but...why? why did they ended the trailer on that note? the shot up there is totally fine as a final shot, and it's badass.

@Spidey91 - Because every amazing trailer has to end with a terrible joke.

So they want to exterminate the human race? Or use the human corpses to create their race? Wait what?

@DarkArrow19 - I think they just want to exterminate the human race, unless I missed something.

The fantastical stuff is elevated to 100 in this. CB shows that have people with powers going against people with powers. Love it.

Man, this is such a cheese fest lol. But pretty cool of the CW to have come this far, with some pretty decent production value for TV.

Looking forward to this!
I hope off the back of this "event" that maybe one day, the CW will really spend some money on either a dedicated or two-part TV movie of these and other DC superheroes.
For me the seasons are toooo long, interest begins to wane with the breaks-in-season - less is more.
