TITANS Concept Art Reveals Eight Different Takes On Raven's Costume In The DC Universe TV Series

Titans has delivered different takes on many of our favorite DC Comics superheroes, and some new concept art from the DC Universe hit series reveals EIGHT alternate versions of Teagan Croft's Raven!

Titans is DC Universe's flagship series, and while it's not been without its fair share of "F*** Batman!" level controversies, the majority of DC Comics fans do seem to get a kick out of the team's adventures. Season 3 is already in the works, but some very early concept art revealing several different wardrobe options for Teagan Croft's Raven have been revealed today!

Shared on Instagram, these are all a lot different to what ended up on the small screen.

For fans of the Teen Titans, it's the addition of a hood that will likely be most welcomed because that's a nod to the character's comic book costume. The brave (and bold) hero has sported a variety of looks over the decades, but that hood has been a recurring presence in her adventures.

"For a character like Raven, we build her a whole closet," Titans concept artist Marco Nelor explains. "Which one is your favorite? Pretty much, Teagan Croft looks good in everything."

Titans season 3 is expected to debut on DC Universe this fall barring any COVID-19 delays.

Why is Akiva Goldsman still allowed to work on comic properties... Johns and Berlanti helping out doesn't make matters any better.

@Superheromoviefan - not all comic accurately suits look good in live action Logan costume good example, weapon x helmet that look goofy on him, Wanda costume looks like cosplay outfit, captain America and taskmaster would be pirate gloves and boots if they’ve went with comic accurate look, Hawkeye will be tights with purple color and underwear over his tights which would not look in movie it would look goofy in movies Andy laughable not to Ben taken seriously with costumes looking like that

@Superheromoviefan - lmao her “comic accurate suit” is literally purple robes. Of all the shows to complain about “comic accurate suits” this is not one of them. God some people will complain about anything.

@Himura - and some people would be fine with anything.

I like the 1st season because it was like the Netflix shows. It had a grittier concept, better action scenes, and yet stayed pretty close to the source material. Then comes along with S2 and a WTF 1st episode that has now been confirmed to have been reshot so the DC streaming can milk the show longer by extending everyone's origin.

S2 was terrible and lacked direction. It had too much setup and terrible pacing. The only thing good about S2 were the costumes and conner kent (but all his scenes felt like reshoots too as he was barely in it).

@mastakilla39 - The first season was never as well written as any of the Netflix stuff.

The writing was at best, as good as the writing of Iron Fist's first season.

At best.

@Necropolitan - I disagree, Titans is better than Defenders & Iron Fist. It had little to no "filler" content compared to Netflix trying its hardest to stretch a small concept into 13 episodes. Even Jessica Jones and DD had pacing issues because they were just stretching material. Titans devoted each episode to a specific character or setup that was upcoming on the service.

Writing is good, but not perfect. I think people are just stuck up about the interpretation of certain characters. Critics have given each season 80+ too on RT.

One of the worst seasons of TV I've ever watched, that last season.

Just garbage after garbage.

@Necropolitan - The first season is one of the worst seasons of TV I've ever seen, couldn't even make it past the first episode of season 2. wtf is this PS2-looking garbage

@BillCipher - Doom Patrol also has competent writing, good acting and most importantly an actual structure. Titans feels so sloppily put-together and haphazardly constructed that you'd think they start writing the scripts an hour until deadline, with Dick Grayson "giving up" on Robin four different times in the first season.

@tmp3 - Imagine what it was like watching season 2. Waiting week after week just to grow more frustrated. I think I was actually insane.

@BillCipher - Titans felt like an edge lord fan film stretched across 11 hours. Doom Patrol's not perfect - it has a few too many episodes, and the first few felt like they were trying too hard to be adult - but the central team dynamic works, and the characters actually evolve and grow. Negative Man changes so much through the season, while Robin is an angry, bitter loner at the start and still an angry bitter loner at the end. The fact that you never give a shit about the Teen Titans in a Teen Titans show is mind-boggling.

@TheJustinHammer - I stopped watching Arrow after about half of season 4 (I just lost interest) and even then it was way better than Titans.

Titans is like the BvS of superhero TV

@BillCipher - The sets were way better. Meanwhile this [frick]ing show had the main villain fight occur on an empty street.

Slade talks big and tough about his master plan to kill the Titans and all it boils down to is "Show up and shoot at them".

I'm hoping that next season this show is going all in on comic book accurate costumes and includes Roy Harper, Wally West and Lilith Clay and ditches Hank, Dawn, Rose and Superboy (although he is a cool character, his story just doesn't fit with the rest of the Titans story in my opinion).

Also, I was thinking about it lately and I've come to the conclusion that season 2 was an attempt at The Judas Contract and absolutely butchered it

Could you imagine if Titans was of the same quality as Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing? DC television would be looking so high up right now.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - DC should lend more of its IP to HBO instead of guys like Akiva Goldsman

90% of DC's adaptations to live-action sucks.

Hopefully season 3 adds redhead Wally West.

I also would like to see Virgil Hawkins make an appearance to set up a Dakota City spin-off with Hardware, Rocket, Xombie and of course Icon.
